Directors' cuts do not necessarily mean the first releases were bad always.. They are often times released for extra profit making or for higher sales of their dvd and blu-ray sales too... Hope you are aware that even the super talented, the very much topnotch directors like James Cameron, Peter Jackson and even Richard Donner Superman 2 also had directors' cuts.. Use the internet is your friendly neighbour please.
