It has a settings where you’d choose the battery type for yourself. In this case of a LifePo4 battery, you’d choose either “3.2-4” or “3.2-5”. One of them is meant for your lithium ion battery depending on the serial number.

Even if you picked the wrong one from the 2 options, the controller would alert you about it (E11 error), so therefore you can proceed to change it to the other option, and you are good to go.

Overall, it’s a good controller if you ask me though. But if you have the money for an MPPT, you can try it.

I have both PWM and MPPT. But the MPPT has an edge (A higher input) on the same setup.

I went to fouani office here in Abuja to get 2 pieces of jinko 615w panel to add to 4 felicity 280w panel already installed but the manager said it will not work except I don’t care if the new panel is supplying 280 instead of 615.
I called an installer and was told same thing. later, I was discussing with someone and he said I should not mind them that it will work well if I install the 2 new panel, then connect it to another face on amon the charge controller

I want to confirm from people with experience

You will hardly find a freezer that produces ice block.

Most of those freezers that does so has been modified starting from the condenser, to dryer to the gas and even compressor (yes the compressor some times are modified if necessary).

Although there is a video of a solar fridge that produces block. You can look more into it experiment and give us the real facts .

Ok guys, I just figured out the issue. It’s from the Twin tech Panel. I have been duped of my hard earned 45k.

This is what I found out after testing the 2 panels separately:
Single Connection at 1:20pm
Africell
20Volts 3.8Amps =76Watts
Twintech
15Volts 0.6Amps = 9Watts
Connecting both
15Volts 3.4Amps = 51Watts

Notice that Africell is giving 42% output while the Twin Tech is not significant. Now combining the two in parallel affects the entire system to a very low output. Now I am certain of the issue.

but pwm controller does not show Amp naw it only show voltage...try to get a multimeter and read the amp directly from panel...the two panel cant be bad.. this morning am getting 5.1 amp from my 200w africell panel
secondly 9am is too early try it around 11am

There is no way 200+ will be charged at the same time. Did the customers planned their meeting point at the same time? ;DPhones get fully charged at different hours.

I don't use any other thing on the inverter except lights, 1 tv and the fans.
Most the bulbs used are inverter friendly.
The inverter uses 2 batteries as well.

Okay, last month i bought a sako hybrid inverter from a nairalander here (nexus). To cater for the same thing. 3 tanks to be filled at least twice a day. 24v system. Just adding panels gradually but so far, it okay. How many litre tank do you fill.

From the picture you posted, this is not Felicity IVPS model, because IVPS Models does not have integrated MPPT. IVPM Models does have inbuilt MPPT and your picture does not look like the IVPM model. See links to the IVPM3524, IVPM3548, IVPS3524 and IVPS3548 below.
Attached pictures in order 1&2 are IVPM, 3&4 are IVPS.

Be careful to inspect the product physically before paying for it. There exist a lot of Clones / Copies / Look a Likes, what ever da hell they are called.

I honestly don't understand these queries about idle power consumption from people. You have to understand that every Inverter or converter as the name may imply must consume some power while doing what it's named to be (CONVERT or INVERT) and powering internal components. Don't base your choice of a product on the question you just asked otherwise you might end up with a system that is not efficient or worse case end up with a fake product.

If you must know, a 2% to 5% of system capacities are pre-allocated for internal components and self consumption.
While some manufacturers tend to mention this, some don't. Fr example, when a manufacturer says EFFICIENCY=97% it simply means that 3% remaining will account for Self Consumption.

At least buy genuine product and have peace. There are loads of other questions you should be asking about products.

The budget is approximately ₦650,000, and the goal is to power a setup that includes a deep freezer (60W with a starting power of around 120W), a TV (130W), and rechargeable fans (60W when charging and 15W during use). Oh interesting. It’s a LifePO4 battery and I have changed the “battery type” settings from “5-3.2” to “4-3.2” I.e for a LifePo4 battery, and right now the error is gone. But I guess I have done this b4 and the error managed to come back then. I am still novice to Solar anyways.

If this fault is from the PWM controller or battery I can’t really tell too.

I just want to give an update. I was advised here to go see the agent at his office, so he will log into my portal in my presence. When I contacted him, he told me he was out of the country. (I have always communicated with him via WhatsApp only) except his office. Pls note that he was recommended by my uncle. So I have never meant him.
He said he will send me the letter, but to avoid me double crossing him so he could get his balance money, he will render the document unless for me, so I won't be able to make a copy to finish the process.
From research, submission of passport at the visa office is not a guarantee that your passport will be stamped. And the agent is concern about how to get his balance.

Please, is there a way to test for bad / fault battery in an inverter system? I noticed that my Eastman tubular battery bars in my inverter drops from 4 bars to 3 bars immediately it stops charging or when light is taken.
The batteries are less than a week old.
Also, is there a way to confirm the genuineness or authencity of batteries?

Let me cut the long story short. That was the available pv.
I was planning to use 2 pcs of 580w Junko pv but the of trouble/stress of bringing them down to Uyo from either Abuja or Lagos was too much.
As I'm typing this, I've 5 pcs of 580w Jinko pv in Abuja and I'm told to pay 30k each for the waybill.
Again, I checked and saw 580w pv in fouani store website on the 12th of last month and I made payment for 5 pcs. The following day, I was called and told that the 580w was out of stock. There was no higher watt pv and my customer didn't want to go for a lower watt pv.
I called for a refund and I was told to go my bank and apply for charge back. I went and applied and my bank later told me the money is already in the fouani store account that there's nothing the bank can do.
I called fouani customer service and I was told to wait. They later called me that the money was refunded to my account on Monday this week. I checked my app and I didn't see it. I will still go back to my bank and print account statement.
I will NEVER EVER buy anything from fouani store again. The stress of getting a refund is unbearable
