Update on the 10kWh Sako battery issue: The customer had previously complained that the battery was shutting down at 30% capacity. Following @Dam5reey1's theory, we added 4 x 555W solar panels to the existing 3000W + installation, bringing the total to 5685W approximately 3 weeks ago. Since then, we have not received any further complaints from the customer.
At the time of the issue, the battery was going off at 25% later at 30% and the customer reported that it was no longer reaching 100% daily charge like it used to. Although i cannot confirm if the problem has been fully resolved, it appears that the increased solar panel capacity has provided sufficient charge to prevent the battery from discharging to critically low levels before the next day's sunlight. The customer is now able to maintain a healthier state of charge, and we are hopeful that this has alleviated the issue.
In addition, the sako man later replied to my messages, given the address of their service center as well as a contact person's number.
Dam5reey1: On this issue, this has to do with SOC calibration on BMS, it simply show a behavior that your Client's battery has not seen 100% for few days.
BMS and SOC is an estimate, to get more accurate SOC you must have 100% charge at least every 2 days. So your SOC will be 99% accurate.
When charging and discharge LFP the capacity in and out is always different like 200AH in and 195AH out.. BMS will calculate this wrongly overtime and what you complained about will be their experience unless they get daily 100%.
The screen below shows Inverter already cut off. At 47V which we set as LVD.. but guess what? The BMS was still showing 19%.. BMS type is the popular JK BMS so?
because client is Off grid and solar radiation was not getting it to 100% as it supposed to.
dollarnaira: Noticed sth about this thread. Most guys come here to lay complains and whenever different solutions were given, they no longer come here to update the house if the solution(s) worked out or not. Why?
Do you have the smaller ones. .? 1200w with 600w actual power?
Iinnov8: If you are on a tight budget and need an inverter that can carry significant household appliances, then you should consider our Easun 3000w Pure sine wave inverter
Price: 100,000naira
Features:
- Truly pure sine wave. No humming sound from your devices
- Consumes little (around 7w) to power itself from your batteries, leaving you more juice to power your main load (appliances), hence more backup time from your batteries
- Can power significant household loads like refrigerators/deep freezers, microwave, blender, toasting machine, and occasional heavy loads (like pressing iron, 1hp pumping machine and inductive cooker, rated 1100w and lower). Just make sure your batteries can support the significant load consumption from these appliances
- Inverter can be easily repaired; we have a dedicated technician for its repairs and we stock the critical parts to ensure swift repairs. To further minimise downtime hours, we can swap out a faulty inverter for a working one immediately. Terms and Conditions apply
GloryJoyeux: Sundry is the original OEM for Sms, welion etc inverters. The newer models with ‘actual’ dual mppt controllers work brilliantly and as you can see, I’ve established communication via solar assistant with it.
Cworth batteries have been incredible, they actually use brand new cells. I established communication using CAN via pylon protocol and so far so good. I have done up to 0.5c on them with no issues.
Cworth panels surprised me, they have been keeping up with the Jinko panels in terms of yield, sometimes even outperforming the jinkos. Believe me, if maybe I didn’t have the raw data, i wouldn’t have believed it’s possible.
100% on point.. This jinko just they finish anyhow.. Imagine say market land yesterday, I got 4 pics of 555w. i needed 2 for another client and was told them done sold out.. As in na 3pm the market land yesterday ooo.. 9am today hin done finish.. That why i they kuku find brand way they available jare baba mii....i never see seller of that firman for ib here.. And to buy from that una side go cost me noting less than extra ₦50k for shipment..
dollarnaira: Baba maintain your Jinko or get firman. Don't experiment with funds of clients unless he is on a budget.
actually, I don't know the type of BMS that sako use on their products. but am very sure it is not Bluetooth compatible. what I wanna be sure is, if we charge the battery to 100% back to back, will it correct the SOC readings back to what it use to be boss?
ask4bk: I don't know what BMS you are using, but I've a battery at home that uses a Bluetooth BMS (not the JK everyone is using now but the one from another brand they were using before). Charging to a point that I know it's actually full, the BMS still reads 65%. So I entered the BMS settings from my phone, and changed the 100% voltage mark by just a little (eg 4.5v to 4.55v) and it adjusted back to 100%.
Some BMS drift away in the SOC they show you, but it does not affect the ahs capacity reading used or voltage reading. Once you hit that low voltage mark, the battery will cut off even if your BMS is mistakenly reading 50% instead of 20 or 10%.
The above was the trick I used sha. If not, invest in buying a Coulomb meter that you'll connect to your battery. I heard those don't fail in their SOC calculations. I recently got one from China that connects to my WiFi sef and I see my battery state of charge from anywhere in the world.
Thanks for this chief... I want to believe you are 100% right.. I want to believe so.. lately because of the dust, he said they've not been getting to 100% before the sun goes off... Would advice we get more panels and also clean the already installed ones...
How many days do we need to run at 100% before the calibration would be reset pls...? And will it automatically correct it self back?
Thanks.

Open am and buy distilled water put.. That all.. Enjoy ✌️
skywalker95: Why I am bothered is because on the indicator of each cell, most are still around the green line but one in particular is lower than the rest but not at the red line. I was thinking if it does equalization charging, then every cell will be balanced.
Baba na me one return am.. OK since you gat solution to the battery, kindly enlightening me. I hv lil to no knowledge abt packing lifepo4 or ion battery or any battery for that matter. Installation was done Nov 2024,all parameters set as it was sent from the seller.. Just like val do send me and his pack never for ones give me headaches which was even bought long before uncle sako product oo.
At 1st it do discharge up to 13% before it will alert for low battery before cutting off .later to 20% now 30% then it goes off.. If you are the customer, tell me if you Wont be worried? Maybe tomorrow now it will start going off at 40 them 50 and so on..
So if you rili do hv solution for me, kindly provide rather than saying someone discharge below so so so and so and what to return battery..
See as me they so, na solution i they always look for... Abeg if you hv one for me, do provide.. To send the product back will cost me gangan money and to send it back to me as well..
Abeg provide me solution to save me the stress of sending back.. Thanks chief ✌️
And anyone here who want to buy sako product both inverter and battery, I'am ready to sell at give away price
6.2KVA and 10kwh battery all 2mths use.. Everything gitting 2.55M can give away at 2M last..
Kindly quote this message or DM.. Thanks
Dam5reey1: And someone wants to return battery he discharged below 2.9V
OK.. This big ones are always better..but i would advice you if you can raise some money go for Growatt or sern. Even felicity self.. Just to have better rest of mind...
Seh this active balancer na plug and play? See we way no Sabi build, no Sabi all this things oo.. The batteries way i they buy, them done they already add them inside. No until i jam this sako product.. My brother i done taya..
dollarnaira: Baba do low budget stand alones. PowMr cc 100k 100ah 240k Satchet inverter 3kva 100k Active Balancer 10k 400w × 2 = 220k Cable
But most guys want beautiful boxes. The above is a mini killer, ugly but working.
Chief abeg send me that repair center address abeg 🙏 🙏 🙏..
Bb007: We recently installed a Sako 4.2kw inverter about 3 months ago, and the inverter malfunctioned two weeks ago when we tried using a 1700W air fryer (every other appliance was turned off before turning on the air fryer). The inverter was repaired at their repair center and stop working today again. Seeing similar complaints from others raises questions about the quality of their product. Do your due diligence before buying.
I seconded you on this.. Na try i say make i also try sako ooo.. 😔
As from now on, any customer way want low budget, go they enter market hin self..
jonescosmos: Na me pay ooo. my brother I hope you read the part where I said the setup didn't last upto 48 hours. Which Client go wan listen to your excuses and troubleshooting in such instance? I jejely respected myself and bought another Inverter and Battery and installed for them ooo. It's a painful reality ooo. That's why some products are so popular while some will never make it past Alaba market. I am someone who never installs anything lower than Growatt and Felicity for clients. After hearing lots of noises about SRNE, SAKO, SMS, etc etc, I decided to try out the SAKO due to client's low budget. See how the whole thing ended up. This Installation almost messed up my Xmas ooo. Anyway sha, Lesson learned in hard way.
Any client that wants a low budget installation henceforth go buy the devices themselves, my own na to install am for am with plenty of caveats.
Same sako guy from NL here.. I used their lvc the guy gave me..
Drgreatone: Who have you bin communicating with? Did u use a low voltage disconnect on the inverter? Whats ur charging current too? Battery has a 5yrs warranty so best is to return it and try to find cause and prevent a repeat
mctfopt: What is V1 to V4 readings? Batteries are out of balance. I wish their BMS has an active balance function. Also most of these batteries are welded, not bolted or screwed on, so servicing them is super hard without special tools.
Hv been asking them for their service center address in lag, no single reply.. Just so sad..

Not just those 2 model at all.. Will advice ppl to stay away from sako for now.. I have been having issues with their inverter and battery.. . One of the cell in their battery is very low.. Been asking for solution how to balance it but nothing is forth coming.. The inverter itself have been giving issues since the day of Instllation.. That was early Nov 2024 less than 3 mths ago.. Now battery is no longer balance. I was told i need a load to lower the high voltage, which i know nothing abt.. I dont build battery. For the last 3days now they stopped responding to messages. I asked for their service center in Lagos so that i can send it for repair still no reply at all.. Items of less than 3mths and the customer is messaging me every single day.. Always on my neck.. 6.2kva paired with 10kwh battery. Anyone with solution should kindly help me out abeg.. 🙏 🙏 🙏
I had exactly the same issue with the same model of battery and SAKO 3kw 24V Inverter alongside 8pcs of 450W Jinko Panels, at nights the battery discharges like it's in a competition, The SAKO Inverter and Battery both refused to obey cut-off points and as such the battery discharges beyond DOD, I thought when day breaks and the sun comes up, the inverter will wake the battery up, but it didn't, client used GEN and NEPA to try to charge the battery, yet no power.
This horrible experience went on for days until I replaced the Inverter and Battery with Felicity IVEM 3KW and 5KWh Felicity Lithium Battery. Now everything is up and running and the SAKO Battery and Inverter are both laying fallow in my garage.
Regrettably several other people have reported similar issues with SAKO products.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE 2 MODELS OF SAKO BATTERY & INVERTER
