Please I have someone who wants to get me a Laptop. However, I know this person to be a budget person and if I give him specs or anything that's superfluous I might end up with crap or nothing.

Please suggest a reasonable budget laptop and/or specs that can get freelancing jobs done.

My fear is I might want to learn graphics, animation or any other trends but this won't be possible with a low end system.
