When did you apply?

I received my PPR on November 7, and I submitted my passport to VFS Lagos on November 10. On November 11, I got a notification that it had been sent out,it’s been 6 weeks now and I haven't received any updates Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?

Exactly, i already messaged the school to defer my session till may and i also rescheduled my flight till April. Don’t think they’ll want to keep holding my passport for 6 months

Thanks very much for the reply, Did you submit the same passport you used to apply because I submitted a renewed one or was there anything they said that caused your delay

Go in person to the embassy... not VFS. Explain your situation to the security team: when you submitted, the actions you have taken, and your program start date. Hopefully, they will let you speak to someone.
I don’t know if they are still at 4 Anifowoshe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria

So I went there today and they said I should keep waiting that that’s the only thing I can do for now .

Send a message to IRCC via web form. Use “URGENT” in the first line and explain your situation. It shouldn’t take this long

that’s exactly what I have been doing but they keep receiving my web forms and do nothing

IRCC Ghana office takes an average of 6-8 weeks to process passports for visa.

Some have had their passports returned under 2 weeks while others, 2 months. There is nothing else you can do but to be patient.

Ohhh do you have anyone who has actually been with this type of time frame

Please, I need advice.

I submitted my passport through VFS Lagos on November 10, and it was received by IRCC on November 11.
So far, my application has not been updated and I have not received any message about passport return. My program is scheduled to begin on January 6, and I’m getting concerned.i have submitted many webform speaking of the delay but the tracker shows they’ve received them . But still nothing

For those who have experienced something similar:
• How long does it usually take for IRCC to update passport details?
• Is this delay normal?
• Is there anything else I should be doing at this point, or should I just keep waiting?

Note : i called vfs but the said it’s with iccc

2. Called ircc they said there is no update yet on my passport but they agreed to receiving it But ircc Ottawa said they can’t give me Much info on my application since it’s made outside Canada

Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe it’s not been processed. Mine was updated to the new passport detsils

Mine hasn’t been updated yes and it’s almost 5 weeks

No I didn’t. I just wrote a letter that my passport expires in 3 months so I had to renew because of the 6month validity. I put the old passport number and new in the letter and added the photocopy of the data page of the old one cos you can only send one passport.

The letter was put in with all other documents

I still have the previous document number as my passport on the tracker it hasn’t changed yet

I don’t think it’s about the passport change. I think it’s more about where you sent your passport too. Applied for a new passport after ppr and I got my passport back within 4days.

When you renew your passport after getting PPR, processing can take a bit longer. The visa office needs to link your new passport to your file before stamping. That may cause a delay after the “sent out” notification.

Many people have had the same issue. It can take 3 to 4 weeks while they update your passport details internally. Since you submitted on November 10, you are still within normal range.

You just have to wait. They will eventually text you or you can go back to vfs to check if they have returned your passport and you didn’t just get an email. How many days did your application take before it was approved. I think most applications are rejected within 2 weeks.

It was approved in 5 weeks . But my passport now its almost 3 weeks
