Hello guys. Please does anyone know what time is best to check for visa appointment dates in Canada. The system seems to be busy during the day and at night, I can only find dates in January 2027. I’ve been trying to reschedule my appointment date. Thanks.

For B1/B2, you would have stated your income in the DS160. You don’t need to have funds in an account designated specially for the interview to show as PoF.
Plan your trip, estimate a cost and have a ball park figure to spend and tell VO if and/or when asked.
Wonderful! Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much. So I just fill the ds-160 form, pay the fees and schedule an appointment? Also, like how much do you think I need to have as POF?
@metaverse please can you respond to this? Thank you for the info

What a weird post, they should definitely apply for a US visa as soon as possible, esp since there is a wait for getting an interview. If you have PR getting a US visa will be easy, since having PR is a big incentive to not overstay or work illegally in the US. US visa officers will view her as a Nigerian with Canadian PR.

As a Canadian visiting the US is not a big deal, we go over there for.day trips etc or sometimes just to eat dinner and go back if you live in places like Windsor. Also, having a US visit visa is important as you might have to go to the US for work trips, to catch a flight etc.
Thanks @zaza905 for your help. I do have cousins here who got 10 years b1/b2 visas as PR. I just wanted to confirm if the short time I’ve spent here would be an issue. Moreover, I wasn’t planning on visiting tomorrow considering I’d still need to schedule an interview appointment. In addition, my brother is also a citizen here in Canada and he’s been here for 11years. I wonder why the other oyotunji guy was being so rude with his response. The b2 visa is to tour the US and also to visit friends and family. So, I wonder how thats a flimsy excuse.

It doesn't matter that you just moved two months ago. You have a PR which is a strong tie to canada.

With your Canadian PR, you should get a 10year B1/B2 even with your Nigerian passport.

Working from home is not unusual in the western world, that shouldn't pose a barrier.

By and large, go for it
Thank you so much. So I just fill the ds-160 form, pay the fees and schedule an appointment? Also, how much do I need to have as POF?

Hello everyone. Please I need help as I don’t know where to start from, but this is my story. 😁 This is my first time applying for a US visa. I’d be going to visit my friend and boyfriend who is also in the US Army. I recently just moved from the UK to Canada as a PR about 2 months ago. I was in the UK for almost 3years before moving to Calgary. I currently work from home as a customer service rep. I have started filling the DS-160 form but I just want to know the process and if I stand a chance of approval considering that I’ve just moved.
