You're making the usual Nigerian error of placing more emphasis on specific times over and above trends. It's easy to fall into it.

The USA is deteriorating BECAUSE it's getting more diverse. Look up what's happening in California, the first state where White Americans are less than 50% of the population. You should go read up on the USA's 1964 Immigration & Naturalization Act. However, I believe that there's a new epoch coming to the USA. People don't understand how UNIQUE the USA is in human history. Do you know the USA is the ONLY country in the world where the Constitution or Basic Law places limits on government and grants citizens rights FROM GOD?

Other Basic Laws may say something like "every citizen has free speech", with the implication that THE LAW is giving that right to citizens. That's the case in Europe. The USA says no, the citizen is BORN with that right as part and parcel of their humanity and therefore government can't even legislate on those rights.

Belgium is basically TWO or THREE countries in one, I think it's TWO, those two major parts hardly interact at all. They even have separate political parties, the main party in each region DOESN'T CONTEST for office in the other regions, hardly at all. Belgium goes for YEARS without forming a national government.

Spain? Brazil? I don't know too much about them, but I bet you if we looked up and researched it the importance of homogeneity will be obvious. Once you get the Big Picture, everything fits in almost all of the time.

The ingredients of National Prosperity are known and confirmed by rigorous social & statistical research. Democracy, free markets, homogeneity or domination by one ethnic or religious culture and enforced private property rights are necessary for national prosperity, but don't guarantee it.

Before picking examples of nations that don't fit, take note of trends and probability. The more of those 4 factors are present in a nation, the more likely it is to be prosperous and have high HDI.

For Nigeria, one way it can create MORE homogeneity is to have TRIBAL STATES or regions with high levels of autonomy. That's an example of how these factors work, you gotta look at it with a level of intellectual synthesis. I believe that's what's coming in the USA.
