The Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Nigeria on Thursday, hosted an all-inconclusive meeting of critical stakeholders of Southern Kaduna as it continued its longstanding mediation for dialogue, reconciliation and peace building in Southern Kaduna where several communities have experienced violent crisis resulting in loss of lives and destruction of properties in the past.
This is coming after the organization successfully brokered a similar peace deal and reconciliation in June 2017 between the Fulanis and Natives of Kaninkon Chiefdom in Southern Kaduna.

GPF Nigeria, which had held several separate meetings with each of the stakeholder groups and communities since January, for the first time brought them together for the Southern Kaduna Peace and Reconciliation Meeting.
In attendance at the meeting in Kafanchan were leaders and representatives of Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MABCAN), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Jema’a Foundation, Local Fulanis and other Southern Kaduna stakeholders.

Sultry Ghana/Nigerian actress, Christabel Ekeh, has never failed to get all eyes looking in her direction with her below-the-belt antics and theatrics. Her Instagram account is loaded with provocative pictures and videos of all sorts.
But days ago, the actress simply went over the edge and got many thinking if she had not lost it. She posted her naked pictures, in several poses. When I say stark naked, the actress was not wearing a thing!
In the stark nude pictures, she was sitting bare, Yoga-style, backing the camera with an inscription ‘Bleep u’ bold at her back.
Many people thought it couldn’t have been her sharing such obscenity, that her account could have been hacked.

But in an interview with Joy TV, the pretty actress, admitted posting them herself, saying she was only introducing ‘the new her’ to the world.
“I want the world to see new Christabel. I was only introducing my new self. New Christabel is new, whoever you can imagine.
That’s why I’m not wearing anything. So, whatever you want to wear on me, that’s your imagination,” She dismissed speculations that her account may have been hacked and the pictures were posted by someone else.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has tried 63 drivers in its mobile court in Pankshin Command Plateau state

The corps said the drivers were arrested on Saturday, July 15, and tried at the FRSC mobile courts for various offences

The FRSC said the mobile court of the FRSC has come to stay in the command as drivers who failed to abide by traffic laws will be apprehended and tried.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has tried 63 drivers in its mobile court in Pankshin Command Plateau state. The drivers, the corps said, were arrested on Saturday, July 15, and tried at the FRSC mobile courts for various offences. Speaking on the arrest, the Pankshin unit commander Nnamdi Akeh-Akabo said the corps' outing recorded over 90 offences committed by different motorists.

Akeh-Akabo speaking with journalists said while some of the drivers were arrested for not possessing their licences, many others carried overloads and some failed to use the speed limit device. He said: “We today made an arrest of 63 drivers as a result of over 90 offences, out of which 7 of them were released, while the rest were penalised.

“We were shocked to discover that most of these drivers, especially commercial drivers still carry over load on our high ways despite our repeated public enlightenment campaigns over the years. “Of course, we had to penalise them to serve as the deterrent to others; this is because we desire to see that all the roads in the hinterland are accident-free for the safety of lives of innocent commuters,’’ Akeh-Akabo said. He further noted that the mobile court of the FRSC has come to stay in the command as drivers who failed to abide by traffic laws will be apprehended and tried.

The unit commander also charged motorists to ensure they obtain their driver's licence, avoid overloading and obtain speed limit device so as not to fall into the hands of officers and men of the corps. He also called for the cooperation of NURTW to prevail on some of their erring members to sit up and avoid breaking traffic rules and regulations.

An American, Marco Ramirez, who supposedly defrauded three Nigerians of $565,000 in an American Green Card fraud.
Ramirez was granted bail in the total of $250,000 by an Ikeja, Lagos State High Court.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ramirez was before remanded at the Kirikiri Prisons, after his arraignment on June 22 over the charged fraud.

Two portable PC belonging to prosecutors were stolen at the workplaces of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Pretoria.


Burglars broke into two offices arranged on the second floor between Sunday night and Monday morning, NPA representative Luvuyo Mfaku affirmed to News24.

"I would not be in a position to remark as [to] how they gained entry, it is the subject of police examination," Mfaku said.

Police in the Philippines are exploring the death of Ogbe Micah, an understudy of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, who was supposedly cut to death by his flatmate, another Nigerian, after a warmed dispute.

Friends of the departed revealed to PREMIUM TIMES that regardless they don't recognise what prompted the battle on Friday.

"I don't know much about his flatmate who cut him since he is not our understudy. He has been captured by the police in Las Pinas and the occurrence is being explored," an understudy said.

The Southern Leaders Forum on Sunday gave Acting President Yemi Osinbajo a final proposal to actualize the report of the 2014 National Conference.

The pioneers, who touched base at this determination at a meeting held in Lagos, additionally entreated Mr. Osinbajo to encourage and permit the 36 states to expect their status as unifying units, as ensured by the Nigerian constitution.

The meeting was attended by pioneers from Southern Nigeria including a previous legislative head of Akwa Ibom state, Victor Attah; Afenifere chieftains, Ayo Adebanjo and Femi Okurounmu; and a previous overseeing executive of Niger Delta Development Commission, Timi Alaibe.

Two individuals died and no less than 10 are lost after flood cleared crosswise over parts of Suleja, close Abuja end of the week, the chairman of Suleja Local Government, Abdullahi Maje, stated.

Mr Maje said two bodies were recouped from the influenced region on Sunday.

He said 100 houses were influenced, while eight houses were totally washed away following 10 hours of heavy rainfall.

Eyewitnesses had said that eight individuals from a family were suspected to have passed on in the flood which influenced Suleja and Tafa neighborhood Government regions, both of Niger State.
