Ikemsinachi: 1000likes for you boss. You just said it all. "Inferiority complex" is their major problem. that true inferiority complex.let see where pride will lead you guy to. Proud to be a medical student though. But the truth must be told. In life no body is inferior including the lowest from the low. |

We are all shouting there is hatred in the health sector. This is the place the whole problem started from jst imaging somebody saying medical doctor are at the peak of the sector. Pple like this will not respect the nurses let alone the med lab scientist. And you want improvement in the sector.dnt forget in a hurry that without other allied health workers will are nothing as doctors. We cant do it all. Even we doctors have to specialize.pls let respect others. We are nothing without them. |

Catalyst4real: All these Dental/Medical arguments sef. Most of the Dental students arguing sef, didn't really plan to be Dentists.
It's such a shame that we weigh Value and Validity by who gets the "Highest pay" the most irksome part is that the way they thinks is not the way the body regulating the payment thinks.let jst face our study for now and stop the puerile debate. |

HighIQ: open heart surgery kor open mouth surgery ni. So if u av someone who urgently need heart surgery operation wld u advicr such to do it in Nigeria. Infact many of them wld prefer to go to abroad and india for such operation. If u specialise in such operation in Nigeria I doubt if u will see a single operation to perform for ten years. And if u decide to go practise ur profession in abroad, racism wld set in. As an average white man wld never allow a black to carry out such operation on him. I want to assure u dat dentistry is still the most patronise surgery in this country. Come to Oau dental hospital and see fot urself. Patients with swollen tongue, mouth etc coming to high iQ.U are so funny. Hw will u say for 10 years there will not be patronage. For 30 years he will not even get a check up patient. Let alone the surgery. Most of then are jst making mouth. They normally end up specialising in pediatrics, obs and gyne. |

Dbrainiac1: Lol. Wrong. Haven't you heard of the NDA? Nigerian Dental Association. Medical students doesn't include all specialty in medicine as you said. Dentistry is a discipline on its own, hence the distinction between it and Medicine. it seem obvious to me now that most medical student dnt even knw the meaning of medicine. Medicine include anatomy ,physio, dentistry, medical lab etc. Is jst that this various discipline of medicine become advance and with time also have speciaty. So it is due to the advancement. Not that they are not medical discipline . Pls halt the blunder. |

Dbrainiac1: They will continue with the old normal system. The new policy is for those that will be admitted next year i.e 2016/2017 session. Drdonzeez: This policy is still subjected to further scrutiny and debate because respective medical schools involved may choose to adhere to either of these three conditions state which are:1)a 7 year MBBS/BDS programmes which will lead to the award of two degrees: bsc basic medical sciences +MBBS and Bachelor of Dental sciences+BDS respectively..I still wonder how this is going to affect the qualities of the holders..To me,A waste of time, resources e.t.c.2) respective schools involved may choose to continue with the six year programme at their own discretion...SEE CONFUSION Dbrainiac1: They will continue with the old normal system. The new policy is for those that will be admitted next year i.e 2016/2017 session. |
