PoliticsWhat Will Happen After The Elections In Nigeria-prophet T.B. Joshua Reveals by HercJay(op): 9:59am On Mar 31, 2015
The general overseer of the Synagogue
Church of all Nations (SCOAN), Prophet
T.B. Joshua, has revealed some things
that will happen following the elections
in Nigeria.
Speaking to his congregation on
Sunday, March 29, 2015, the prophet
said, he is seeing the death of a
prominent politician due to ‘heated up’
politics in the wake of the closely
fought Nigerian elections.
“I am seeing Nigerians heating up
politics.
“They will heat up politics and a great
man among the politicians will likely
lose his life… I am seeing this kind of
thing happening in the night.
“Wednesday and Thursday of this
coming week and next week, make
sure you fast and pray.”
Earlier in the service, the cleric
reminded congregants of a prophetic
message he had shared last year
concerning a ‘dark cloud’ hovering over
Nigeria. He said God is beginning to
remove the cloud.
Explaining what the ‘cloud’ represented,
Joshua stated that it meant a situation
whereby two political parties would
declare themselves as election winners,
leading to a state of ‘lawlessness’.
“Whoever wins the race, let us put
Nigeria first, the nation first.
“The dark cloud I saw last year was
two declarations but I can see the
finger of God. Thank you for your
prayers.“There is a difference between
your faith and politics.“Don’t play
politics as if it is your faith. ‘Do or die’
is not politics. Politics is a game.
When you lose, you say, ‘Thank You,
Jesus’; when you win, you say, ‘Thank
You, Jesus’.“Your future and the future
of this nation – Jesus will ask you to
give account. What we are doing now
is for generations yet unborn. Don’t
trade this future for money, thuggery
or corruption.”
T.B. Joshua also predicted that an
international terrorist will be captured.
“A criminal they have been looking for,
for many years, who has been
terrorising the world – I am seeing
him being caught and displayed to the
world on international media,” he
announced.
Before the elections, the cleric had
warned Nigerians to be aware of fake
political party people, saying he
foresees a plane crash.
Pastor T.B. Joshua is famous both in
Nigeria and abroad for his religious
activities. He performs miracles and
conducts deliverance. The cleric also
makes predictions about events that
will take place on the national and
international stage.
EducationFive (5) Common Errors In English by HercJay(op): 4:52pm On Mar 09, 2015
1. Affect vs. Effect

Most people confuse them when they're talking
about something changing another thing. When
you're talking about the change itself -- the
noun -- you'll use "effect." For example:
That movie had a great effect on me.
When you're talking about the act of changing
-- the verb -- you'll use "affect." For
example: That movie affected me greatly.

2. Me vs. I

Most people understand the difference between
the two of these ... until they end up writing a
sentence with themselves and another group.
Like this sentence, for example:
When you get done with that lab report,
can you send it to Bill and I?
Nope, that's wrong. Try taking Bill out of that
sentence -- it sounds weird, right? You would
never ask someone to send something to "I"
when he or she is done. The reason it sounds
weird is because "I" is the object of that
sentence -- and "I" should not be used in
objects. In that situation, you'd use "me." See
what I mean?
When you get done with that lab report,
can you send it to Bill and me?
Much better.

3. i.e. vs. e.g.

Confession: I never remember this rule, so I
have to Google it every single time I want
to use it in my writing. I'm hoping by writing
about it that the trend will stop.
Lots of people use the terms interchangeably
when trying to elaborate on a point, but they
really mean two different things. "i.e." roughly
means "that is" or "in other words" while
"e.g." means "example given" or "for
example." See the difference? One's used to
clarify something you've said, while the other
adds color to a story through an example.

4.Who vs. That

This is a tricky one. These two words can be
used when you're describing someone or
something through a phrase like "Ginny is a
blogger who likes ice cream." When you're
describing a person, be sure to use "who."
When you're describing an object, use "that."
For example, you should say "My computer is
the one that overheats all the time." It's pretty
simple, but definitely something that gets
overlooked frequently.

5. Alot vs. A lot vs. Allot

Hate to break it to all of you "alot" fans out
there ... but "alot" is not a word. If you're
trying to say that someone has a vast number
of things, you'd say they have a lot of things.
And if you're trying to say that you've set
aside a certain amount of money to buy
something, you'd say you alloted $20 to spend
on gas.

GOOD MORNING, I HOPE I'M NOT BOTHERING YOU WITH THIS READ:

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.

Be assured you are in my prayers." The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main

Ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbours came to sit with her around the clock.

To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.

So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

EducationHistory Of The Valentine Day Celebration by HercJay(op): 12:25pm On Feb 14, 2015
Bet You Didn't Know: Valentine's Day
How did St. Valentine become
associated with love and romance? Get
the full story behind the holiday.
INTRODUCTION
Every February 14, across the United
States and in other places around the
world, candy, flowers and gifts are
exchanged between loved ones, all in
the name of St. Valentine. But who is
this mysterious saint, and where did
these traditions come from? Find out
about the history of this centuries-old
holiday, from ancient Roman rituals to
the customs of Victorian England.
THE LEGEND OF ST. VALENTINE
The history of Valentine’s Day–and the
story of its patron saint–is shrouded in
mystery. We do know that February has
long been celebrated as a month of
romance, and that St. Valentine’s Day,
as we know it today, contains vestiges
of both Christian and ancient Roman
tradition. But who was Saint Valentine,
and how did he become associated with
this ancient rite?
Did You Know?
Approximately 150 million Valentine's
Day cards are exchanged annually,
making Valentine's Day the second
most popular card-sending holiday after
Christmas.
The Catholic Church recognizes at least
three different saints named Valentine
or Valentinus, all of whom were
martyred. One legend contends that
Valentine was a priest who served
during the third century in Rome. When
Emperor Claudius II decided that single
men made better soldiers than those
with wives and families, he outlawed
marriage for young men. Valentine,
realizing the injustice of the decree,
defied Claudius and continued to
perform marriages for young lovers in
secret. When Valentine’s actions were
discovered, Claudius ordered that he be
put to death.
Other stories suggest that Valentine
may have been killed for attempting to
help Christians escape harsh Roman
prisons, where they were often beaten
and tortured. According to one legend,
an imprisoned Valentine actually sent
the first “valentine” greeting himself
after he fell in love with a young girl–
possibly his jailor’s daughter–who
visited him during his confinement.
Before his death, it is alleged that he
wrote her a letter signed “From your
Valentine,” an expression that is still in
use today. Although the truth behind the
Valentine legends is murky, the stories
all emphasize his appeal as a
sympathetic, heroic and–most
importantly–romantic figure. By the
Middle Ages , perhaps thanks to this
reputation, Valentine would become one
of the most popular saints in England
and France.
ORIGINS OF VALENTINE’S DAY: A
PAGAN FESTIVAL IN FEBRUARY
While some believe that Valentine’s Day
is celebrated in the middle of February
to commemorate the anniversary of
Valentine’s death or burial–which
probably occurred around A.D. 270–
others claim that the Christian church
may have decided to place St.
Valentine’s feast day in the middle of
February in an effort to “Christianize”
the pagan celebration of Lupercalia.
Celebrated at the ides of February, or
February 15, Lupercalia was a fertility
festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman
god of agriculture, as well as to the
Roman founders Romulus and Remus.
To begin the festival, members of the
Luperci, an order of Roman priests,
would gather at a sacred cave where
the infants Romulus and Remus, the
founders of Rome, were believed to have
been cared for by a she-wolf or lupa.
The priests would sacrifice a goat, for
fertility, and a dog, for purification. They
would then strip the goat’s hide into
strips, dip them into the sacrificial blood
and take to the streets, gently slapping
both women and crop fields with the
goat hide. Far from being fearful,
Roman women welcomed the touch of
the hides because it was believed to
make them more fertile in the coming
year. Later in the day, according to
legend, all the young women in the city
would place their names in a big urn.
The city’s bachelors would each choose
a name and become paired for the year
with his chosen woman. These matches
often ended in marriage.
VALENTINE’S DAY: A DAY OF
ROMANCE
Lupercalia survived the initial rise of
Christianity and but was outlawed—as it
was deemed “un-Christian”–at the end
of the 5th century, when Pope Gelasius
declared February 14 St. Valentine’s
Day. It was not until much later,
however, that the day became
definitively associated with love. During
the Middle Ages, it was commonly
believed in France and England that
February 14 was the beginning of birds’
mating season, which added to the idea
that the middle of Valentine’s Day
should be a day for romance.
Valentine greetings were popular as far
back as the Middle Ages, though written
Valentine’s didn’t begin to appear until
after 1400. The oldest known valentine
still in existence today was a poem
written in 1415 by Charles, Duke of
Orleans, to his wife while he was
imprisoned in the Tower of London
following his capture at the Battle of
Agincourt . (The greeting is now part of
the manuscript collection of the British
Library in London, England.) Several
years later, it is believed that King Henry
V hired a writer named John Lydgate to
compose a valentine note to Catherine
of Valois.
TYPICAL VALENTINE’S DAY
GREETINGS
In addition to the United States,
Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Canada,
Mexico , the United Kingdom, France and
Australia. In Great Britain, Valentine’s
Day began to be popularly celebrated
around the 17th century. By the middle
of the 18th, it was common for friends
and lovers of all social classes to
exchange small tokens of affection or
handwritten notes, and by 1900 printed
cards began to replace written letters
due to improvements in printing
technology. Ready-made cards were an
easy way for people to express their
emotions in a time when direct
expression of one’s feelings was
discouraged. Cheaper postage rates
also contributed to an increase in the
popularity of sending Valentine’s Day
greetings.
Americans probably began exchanging
hand-made valentines in the early
1700s. In the 1840s, Esther A. Howland
began selling the first mass-produced
valentines in America. Howland, known
as the “Mother of the Valentine,” made
elaborate creations with real lace,
ribbons and colorful pictures known as
“scrap.” Today, according to the
Greeting Card Association, an estimated
1 billion Valentine’s Day cards are sent
each year, making Valentine’s Day the
second largest card-sending holiday of
the year. (An estimated 2.6 billion cards
are sent for Christmas .) Women
purchase approximately 85 percent of
all valentines.

The DG of the National Orientation Agency & Coordinator of the National Information Center, Mike Omeri says intelligence reports gathered by Nigeria's security agencies show that Boko Haram members are planning to use bomb-ladened cows, goats and chicken to attack Nigerians at political campaign grounds, market places, and ATM locations.

Omeiri said this while speaking to newsmen on Tuesday January 27th in Abuja

"Available intelligence reports indicate a plan by Boko Haram to use young male suicide bombers disguised as cobblers (shoemakers) to hide explosives in their tool boxes and detonate them in soft target areas such as markets, restaurants, ATM locations, political rallies, worship centres, as well as other public places.

Also there is indication of a plan by this group to use livestock (such as goats, cows, donkeys and camels) laden with explosives to attack chosen targets. In view of these, the general public, including all persons operating within and around the aforementioned places, is advised to be vigilant and mindful of suspicious activities within their environment.” he said

He advised everyone to be watchful during this period and report any suspicious movement to the police.

It is known that the universe is not to be forever, there would come a time when it will just erupt (i don't know the right word in this instance, thus i used erupt), The full age of a universe is about 875 trillion trillion trillion years (875*10^36); We are just in the 78 trillionth year. Then what is the fuss about "the world" ending? This is a deceit by the rulers of this outgoing world to fool himself and the masses, in correct term, it is "a world" that is ending and not "the world". It is the world of the non-black people, especially the white people that is ending, that is why all the troubles in the world is happening, they're trying to clinch to power by all means, but the earth can not be forced, it is like she has been programmed.
What about the black people? The black people both the men and the women are the makers of the universe, the sun, planets, star systems, solar systems, force of nature etc. The black people made them all, which makes it that The Black people are the only people that are eternal, there is no begining to the blackman, there is no ending to the blackman, which also means, that you as a blackman can never die, except you foolishly or willingly wish so (turning yourself to white, by marrying white, after 7 generations of your children and grand children marrying white, you will loose the throne of GOD in you which is in your black germ or dominant gene), You won't be able to reincarnate yourself any longer. Remember Abraham insisted that his son must marry from his people.
So towards the end of the universe, All the black peoples' minds unite together in what is called "DIVINE UNITY". This divine unity is what is called "THAT ONE GOD" , yet we exist individually. When in divine unity, The mind expands so greatly that the universe becomes so very small, that it can be held on the hand, thus we just expand by turning the universe into the first earth, and from there, we begin to recreate again.

EducationPhysics... A Simplified Explanation Of How A Capacitor Works by HercJay(op): 12:45pm On Jan 20, 2015
A capacitor is an electronic component
that takes advantage of the ability of
electric fields to reach out across an
insulator.

It consists of two flat plates
made from a conducting material such
as silver or aluminum, separated by a
thin insulating material such as Mylar or
ceramic. The two conducting plates are
connected to terminals so that a voltage
can be applied across the plates.
Note that because the two plates are
separated by an insulator, a closed
circuit isn't formed. Nevertheless,
current flows — for a moment, anyway.
How can this be? When the voltage from
a source such as a battery is
connected, the negative side of the
battery voltage immediately begins to
push negative charges toward one of
the plates. Simultaneously, the positive
side of the battery voltage begins to pull
electrons (negative charges) away from
the second plate.
What permits current to flow is the
electric field that quickly builds up
between the two plates.

As the plate on
the negative side of the circuit fills with
electrons, the electric field created by
those electrons begins to push
electrons away from the plate on the
other side of the insulator, toward the
positive side of the battery voltage.
As this current flows, the negative plate
of the capacitor builds up an excess of
electrons, whereas the positive side
develops a corresponding deficiency of
electrons. Thus, voltage is developed
between the two plates of the capacitor.
But there's a catch: This current flows
only for a brief time. As the electrons
build up on the negative plate and are
depleted from the positive plate, the
voltage between the two plates
increases because the difference in
charge between the two plates
increases.
The voltage continues to increase until
the capacitor voltage equals the battery
voltage. Once the voltages are the
same, current stops flowing through the
circuit, and the capacitor is said to be
charged.
At this point the magic gets even better.

Once a capacitor has been charged, you
can disconnect the battery from the
capacitor, and the voltage will remain in
the capacitor. In other words, although
the voltage in the capacitor is created
by the battery, this voltage isn't
dependent on the battery for its
continued existence. Disconnect the
battery, and the voltage remains across
the two plates of the capacitor.
Thus, capacitors have the ability to
store charge — an ability known as
capacitance.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan, PDP Under Fire Over Buhari ‘death Threat’ by HercJay(m): 9:30am On Jan 20, 2015
This is really bad. Is it that these guys have no idea of the fact that this could lead to alot of bloodshed especially when read by Nigerian thugs who are eager to kill and destroy?

GEJ you signed a peace agreement, you better pay proper attention to your party folks.

Although there have been some careless talks by people like Fashola and the likes. it's funny how people react when it has to do with PDP.

STOP playing politics with our lives. You do careless things, send your children abroad, and expose the average Nigerian to danger. May God help Nigeria.
