Politics › Re: Until Tinubu Speaks – Rufai Oseni Dismisses Sanwo-Olu’s Hamzat Endorsement by HeroicMeastro: 3:04pm On Apr 28 |
[quote author=press9jatv post=139237687]Arise TV presenter and media personality Rufai Oseni has reacted to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s public endorsement of his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, as a preferred successor for the 2027 Lagos governorship race.
Sanwo-Olu had earlier praised Hamzat during a meeting at Lagos House, Marina, describing him as competent, loyal, and prepared to lead Lagos after his tenure.
“Mr Deputy Governor is a man who is fit and well-prepared for this job. He is a man who knows where all the rooms in the house are.”
He also added:
“He is a man who has worked with me at the highest level of integrity, loyalty, commitment, support.”
Reacting to the endorsement, Rufai Oseni said he believes the final political decision may depend on President Bola Tinubu’s position, suggesting that endorsements within Lagos APC may carry limited weight without his backing.
“I’d like to know where President Tinubu stands, until he gives Hamzat the nod, I can’t take any endorsement seriously.”
His comment has sparked fresh conversations online, with many Nigerians debating the influence of political godfathers, party structures, and the role President Tinubu may play in deciding who emerges as the APC candidate in Lagos.
is Rufai's preferred candidate to lead Lagos 2027? He appear not to like Hamzat, hiding under the pretence of a Tinubu’s nod. |

Who the hell told you that is JESUS CHRIST? You mould a graven Image and call it JESUS? That's Abomination. That is False and should be DESTROYED.
DID JESUS ASK YOU TO MOULD ANY statue of his? The ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF COMMANDED That no image of anything of such should be followed.
We live in a Generation that has no time for the Word of GOD, the Bible. We live in a Generation that are carried away with all manner of Fables. When you Don't Know GOD , you Don't know his word the BIBLE, then you are Finished in life.
You will be Swept away with ALL Manners of Deceptions and Delusions which will guarantee you DESRUCTION. Yet, you go to church that has the same statue here in Nigeria. You are such a hypocrite. |

Bobloco: BAT Isn't GEJ Even If You Dress Monkey In Suit Or Pig In Agbada It'll Still Remain Monkey Or Pig—Ibe
In a recent statement via his official X account, Paul Ibe, spokesman to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has compared the personality of President Bola Tinubu and former President Goodluck Jonathan. Who know this one?
Source
In his post, Ibe was reacting to statements by public affairs analyst Dipo Awoyide, who had argued that Tinubu and Jonathan should not be viewed in the same light, Ibe supported that position, insisting that the two leaders have different personal histories and public records.
He went further to defend Jonathan’s background, highlighting his upbringing and academic journey, Ibe noted that the former president rose through the ranks without controversies surrounding his identity or education and described Jonathan as someone whose personal history is widely known and documented.
The Atiku spokesman contrasted this with his criticism of President Tinubu, suggesting that the current administration does not reflect the same standards and argued that leadership should be built on transparency and credibility, adding that Nigerians deserve clarity about those in power.
Ibe stressed that citizens must remain engaged in political discussions and hold leaders responsible for their actions, according to him, open debate is essential for a healthy democracy.
He noted that comparisons between past and present leaders are necessary, especially as the country approaches another election cycle. |

omikel: Good day Nairalander, I will be brief with my story of how I conquered one of the cats that have been terrorizing us for years in our compound. If you like, call it ANIMAL CRUELTY, but if you read to the end, you will know what I have endured for long. On this beautiful but hot evening, I wanted to go have my shower at the tap outside with the hope to cool my body temperature. I felt something moved fast towards one edge of the boys quarter, my instinct doesn't deceive me, IT IS ONE OF THOSE UNCULTURED CAT that used to make irritating noise while mating behind our fence. I wouldn't know if they usually come from different places to have their usual DO THE DO at our backyard. I took no offence for them doing that because nature can not be cheated. But the problem is the noise at the wee hour of the night when one is supposed to be deep in sleep. They will make different kind of Moaning like human and at times cry like a toddler whose biscuit was snatched by his elderly one, I don't know if anyone has had the kind of experience I am trying to narrate here. But one of them ran into the hands of an angry man who the current situation on ground has made more angrier, like the yoruba will say "Ajá tó yó, kìí bá aiyo seré" Na so I retreived back to my room to pick up my self defense tool any day (a matchet). I tip-toed back and lay still in the dark with my touch light on the left hand and my thumb on its switch. Cats are very sensitive and can see in the dark like tomorrow no dey, but na luck help me kill am this day "Oluwa lo funmi pa* 😁😁😁 Immediately I felt some movement again, my thumb was the first action taker on the switch of my Torchlight, gboa! Light everywhere, the cat's eye self is another version of Torchlight on me. But I summoned courage, it is either you die today or you escape and never come back to this vicinity. We entered battle, I pursued the 'were' to one end where where it believe is an hiding place but there is no escape route except through where I was standing with my Torchlight beaming at it and it was gazing at me also. Who will make the first move? I tricked it into believing I am tired, within a twinkle of an eye, I blinked the light by tapping the switch pim pim the mad cat want to run out of its enclave na so I matchetted it like a criminal who is about to steal phone through the window. But to be sincere, the thing get power, with that one hit, I thought it will be dead, rather it make one hunch back style of defense, and began to make some buzz sound with its mouth and all its claws were sharply released out, na so I woos am the second time before it succumb to weakness and finally third hit made it surrender to alumuntu. It's a shame |

grandiose4ever: Lol this Erdogan thinks Israel is northern Cyprus or Greece. Maybe in his head, he thinks he can start trouble like when he shot at Russia and ran like a cry baby to NATO and US for help.
A country that fought Iran and didn't lose a single war plane, whereas it's American allies - the strongest military on earth lost some. That tells you, you are about to pick on the most combat tested experienced airforce in the world.
BTW, iran is mar more a stronger enemy to Israel because it has asymmetric capabilities like Hamas, Hezbollah and a chokehold on strait of hormuz. Turkey has nothing to blackmail Israel with.
Just remember the following.
1. NATO will not save you. 2. Ankara will not have a airforce and it's navy will be half gone when this misadventure of attacking Israel is over with. You talk about what you know nothing about. Do you think without the USA, Israel will still be existing? Netanyahu had been talking about attacking Iran for over 30 years yet he couldn't because there was not US support. Now that Trump has agreed Netanyahu had the nerve to attack Iran. Look! Stop over rating Israel, one on one they are not match to most European countries. May be a few Asian countries that has not made military a priority. Without the US, Israel would have been wiped off this earth by Iran alone. |

TimeManager: It makes sense for the training and retraining of junior judicial officers.
-Kiss the truth! Doesn't make any sense at all. There has been nothing like a Judicial University anywhere in the world. Instead she should have called for upgrading the institute to a research and training centre for Judicial officers. That's their core mandate: to train officers of the law. They could also offer training similar to what ASCON and NIPPS do. That would have been a very good upgrade instead of changing it to a University |
