Nairaland was down for a few days and some were celebrating on X, praying it never comes back.

Yra, some establishments request for payslips of your previous job just as evidence of past employment and not necessarily to investigate your previous pay.

Blame the Nigerian Medica Association for this ....They said this in 2005 for schools to admit less Doctors some even go as far as saying they dont want competition....
Why do our own people like shooting themselves on the foot..
Now they are crying for work overload and
U possibly were seeking admission in that period of 2005 but couldn't secure one to study Medicine because of the reduced quota for admission then. Right?

Majority of these candidates simply traveled out to study Medicine because they couldn't get admission for Medicine in any Nigerian university.
Anybody who has the money can always travel 'abroad' to study medicine.
The way Nigeria trained medical doctor troop to write UK exam is the way our brothers abroad also troop in to sit the MDCN examination, many usually fail though.

Health / Re: Help! My Brother Has Sickle Cell by heykims(m): 4:43pm On Nov 16, 2023

Great advise....

Bro, I am 45 years sickle cell and married with 3 kids. Although my own is different than others. I meant that I hardly get sick and have never been to hospital or admitted. I may have just had back pain for one or two days every three or four years. That is the reason I said mine is different from others. I have read about sickle cell and it is considered for people who live their normal age to 80 to 90, etc. Don't let people advise you or your brother thinking is a death sentence. My oldest brother is 46, 3 kids as well, and hardly gets is too or goes to the hospital.
U and your brother are SS or SC?

Do a mail to secretariat@possap.gov.ng and tell them to help you confirm your invoice and move your file. Make sure your email body contains your invoice number and file number.

Have u got the certificate?
I sent my finger print yesterday and they reached back that I should exercise some patience as they are processing it.

ask someone to help. Use a GTB card. My own issue now is that it has refused to pass secretariat routing stage. I guess this is where they want you to use someone from back end and pay more. Nigeria Sha!!!!!
Hello, how far about the progress of your application?

However, the little I read there, it's even easier to those who are abroad because everything would be done remotely, including your Biometrics Capture
Thank you boss

It's called Police Clearance Certificate

Go to possap.gov.ng, you need to register. It costs 30k, which you'll pay on the portal. You'll most likely get your certificate the same day you do biometrics.

Also, officers you'll meet there may ask you to pay something ooo

Check here for detailed guide https://myexplorepage.com/police-character-certificate-in-nigeria-2023/
Thanks so much for the info. But I'm in the UK at present, so how do I go about it especially the biometric?
Moreso, is it possible to get the certificate within 3 days of registering?
