Coutinho is more comfortable in attacking midfield position where he drifts easily to left wing, but in Barcelona, he is only restricted to the left wing and that is affecting him..

False 9 with Messi won't work with pure wingers that don't pressure defense and rarely gets into No 9 positions.. When he played false 9, we had Etoo, Henry, Villa, Sanchez, all know how to take the no 9 position.. We have dembele and Malcolm, pure wingers, Coutinho would rather slot back into midfield position than pressure defense.. The few times Messi had played false 9 in the past years, we had Suarez in the wings

Dembele wasn't average please IMO, he was one of best players on the pitch that night. I kind of agree with you that we struggled but the attacks were more intentional and direct unlike when Suarez is there. Dembele confidence grew that night, he didn't loose balls like he does on a regular, his dribbling was done when necessary and most of all his understanding with Messi has grown. I mean with a little above 90mins, they have both scored and assisted themselves, can this be said of Suarez? And when you say our attackers haven't done anything spectacular, I wonder if you saw Malcolm's input that night despite the fact he bottled a chance to kill the game, those guys are coming up good.With more games, we all would see their best.
