can someone help me or guide me on what to do, my mother-in-law visa was denied and i am trying to book a new appointment for her, but i keep getting the error, "duplicate applicant found' what can i do to resolve this error?

Good day, I’m trying to apply for a B1/B2 visa for my dad, on the DS-160 form there is no Nigeria as an option for country of application. Has the process changed? I would appreciate any guidance on how to go about this.

Thank you so much. I submitted on the 2nd of October and I am trying to track it but it keeps saying my search did not return any data. I am wondering if it was actually submitted to the embassy or not. Tried calling the embassy but no response.

Please house, on the topic of scheduling appointments I keep receiving this "slot is already used" yet the date is showing green and available is written under it please what am doing wrong?

1. If you had an appointment on the previous website print it out , it is still very valid and the embassy are going to attend to you based on the old date (for regular applicant). So, your new AVIT appointment which is displaying nothing is just a formality, print it out like that and attend your interview with both old and new letters.

PS: For IW, print out the blank letter from AVIT, and go to OIS to book pick up/drop off appointment. OIS appointment date is the one that all IW (Interview Waiver) applicants will follow, but AVITS blank appointment letter must follow your OIS appointment letter when going for your drop off or pick up.

Hello All. I was able to book an appointment for this Thursday on https://www.usvisaappt.com, but I'm yet to receive any confirmation email. Is this a problem? I was able to download the Interview Waiver Letter and all it says is to come with-
1. A passport valid for travel to the United States with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the
United States
2. Your DS-160 confirmation page
3. A passport photo taken within the last 6 months
4. The visa application fee receipt from First Bank of Nigeria
5. The printed Interview Waiver confirmation page

Am I supposed to do anything on OIS? I keep seeing something about OIS confirmation form here.

1. Yes. DS-160 expires after 1 year, but your interview appointment is still valid. To buttress this fact, the USA embassy even stipulates that " your DS-160 uploaded photo must be very recent of not more than 6 months.

2. Go and fill another DS-160 with your recent photo. Yes of course , DS-160 is your main VISA application, so there will always be an avenue to upload it, and update it on any given portal.

PS: You will receive the mail. The update is still ongoing , and the embassy has millions of applicants to deal with.
