Have you ever thought about the disadvantages of staying in the school hostel? School hostel may not be all fun if you only know about its disadvantages. People are very quick to talk about the advantages of staying in the school hostel, what about the disadvantages of staying the school hostel, have you thought about it? The coin has two sides. So also, staying in school hostels have two sides to it. When we talk about the advantages of the school hostel, we shouldn’t in any way neglect its disadvantages. Because where a student chooses to stay in school has a great role to play in its overall academic performers. People come to the university because of its importance in life. You can check the reasons why you should go to university. So many persons that stay in school hostel today actually don’t want to, but for some certain reason, they have to cope with the whole situation not minding the disadvantages. No doubt, hostels provide you with security and a roof over your head, but the disadvantages of staying in the school hostel beat everything. Here are some of the disadvantages of staying in the school hostel, take a look: 1) SNORERS AND STINKERS Having to share a room with people that snore is as terrible as hell. Imaging sharing a room of 9 persons and 6 snores terribly at night, it’s just going to be like war film at night. Also, imagine the ones that are so unkempt and refuses to do laundry. You will have to stay in such a state with little or nothing you can do. No matter the awkward attitude of your roommates, you have got to cope with it. 2) SOMEONE WHO TURNS ON LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. If you are someone that doesn’t like turning on the lights when you want to sleep, this will be a great challenge. You can be fast asleep and your roommate will just turn on the lights because he/she can’t sleep with light off. There is always that one person that does not like the light turned on when they sleep which could also be you, vice versa. 3) YOU CAN’T CHOOSE YOUR ROOMMATE OR ROOM In every hostel, there are some rooms that are better than some. For instance, some rooms have better ventilation than others. You can prefer to stay in a room that has better ventilation or just close to the entrance of the hostel but you may not get such a hostel room because it’s the school that assigns that. Also, you can’t choose your roommates. Before you come to the school hostel, you actually don’t even know the people you will meet in such a hostel. It’s such a big disadvantage especially when you are meant to cope with people than often irritates you. 4) BAD FRIENDS OR ROOMMATES The friends we meet in the university has a great way it shapes our lives. As nice as going to class, coming from class and taking a nap, etc may sound, it’s not so easy a routine to follow. You are going to meet people that will influence you. One of the closest influencers you will get to learn things from are your roommates. The influences of roommates cannot be overemphasized. Some persons learn to smoke Indian hem in the school hostel. Some girls get influenced by the flashy cars that come to pick up their roommates from the hostel and the gift they bring back. Introduction to bad habits becomes a ritual for students to follow in the hostel. If you do not get into the regular hostel life with these habits, you are treated as an outcast. So many influences come from your roommates when you stay in the school hostel. 5) POOR FACILITIES This is just the dreadful part. The facilities are so poor and the authorities give little or no regard for its state. The toilets and bathrooms are nothing to write about especially when more than one room share a single bathroom and toilets. As a girl that stays in the school hostel, it’s not advisable to use the toilet facilities directly. The state of the bathroom also is just nothing to write home about. Even down to your lockers and cupboards, it’s nothing compared to what you have when off campus. 6) PRIVACY Just forget about privacy. You can’t get your own privacy or space in the school hostel, it’s not possible. No matter the manner of privacy you want, from taking your bath to dressing up, there is just no privacy. From keeping your things tidied but coming back to meet a mess. The school hostel has no privacy! 7) NOISE The noise in the school hostel can just make you have a headache continually if you are the type that doesn’t like noise at all. It becomes more annoying when you are coming from class after a stressful day, only for you to meet too much noise that you can’t even relax. RULESStaying in the school hostel got so many rules. These are rules you must obey if you really want to stay in the school hostel. Some of this hostel, you are restricted from cooking, bringing, ring boilers or even electric iron to the school hostel. There are rules as to when you should ensure to be in your hostel etc Though it has a good rule that protects the smallish students from the bigger ones like the “no fighting” rule. I don’t think there is any school hostel around the world that supports fighting. Nonetheless, the rules involved in staying in school hostel are just too much that it frustrates someone sometimes. 9) HYGIENE This is a big problem. You can try to keep yourself and your space clean but you bunky or roommates may not do the same. Even if you decide that the cleaning of the room is something you want to do, at some points, you will have issues with your roommates who will tell you, you have messed up their stuff by cleaning their space. If you want better hygiene, don’t stay in the school hostel. Sometimes, the biggest threat to your hygiene is bed bugs. You can read more about why you shouldn’t stay in the school hostel here. click to read the full article: https://highfaculty.com/disadvantages-of-staying-in-the-school-hostel/

There are certain things you shouldn’t leave the university without having or learning. They are so important because they make you while in school and propel you when you leave school. The university is an institution for learning and research as we all know but it is also a place where our minds are prepared for life. When you’re studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification, you study to become an expert in your chosen field of study. But whatever course you choose to study, there are some vital things you must learn or have as a student that will help you in school and help you after school. I often tell people if you go through the university system without learning or having one or all of these things I will share with you now, you probably have wasted your time and money. Check out things you will discover about yourself in the university. There are lots of importance of going to the university, but these are not limited to what you must learn or have from the university before leaving school. In the world today, especially in the part I hail from, “CONNECTION,” is much more important than qualification. This doesn’t in any way suggest that qualification isn’t important because there are places only your qualification can lead you to. Nevertheless, never neglect the power of the “right connection.“ Let’s give a quick run-down of the valuable qualities you should develop when you go through the university: 1) CONNECTION This is something you shouldn’t joke with. The importance of making the right friends or connection cannot be overemphasized. There are places or offices your qualification cannot get you into that your connection would when you are in a school and outside the school. Making the right connection while in school is a goal. In fact, one of the importance of the university is making friends. Imagine you live in a country where the percentage of unemployment is very high, and qualified graduates keep graduating from the university yearly, you may need a connection to land you that job of your dream. Stay connected. 2) MATURITY click the link below to read the full article: https://highfaculty.com/things-you-should-learn-in-the-university/

The question of “why should I go to the university” is the one that has been asked for ages. It is a popular belief that all that is needed for any individual is basic education which school stop at high school or secondary school as it is called in some countries. Earning a university or college degree is an important step in life, both personally and professionally. When you consider the financial, social and cultural benefits of having higher education, it is easy to see how a degree can make a big difference in your life and career. Going to college is a choice but looking at statistics or the benefits of having a degree, no one should be exempted from going to school. You should check up the importance of school and the importance of reading here, maybe it will help you understand. University education/degree is important for many reasons, including long-term financial gain, job stability, career satisfaction and success outside of the workplace. WHY SHOULD I GO TO THE UNIVERSITY There are a lot of reasons why you should go to university but let’s look at a few. 1) EARN MORE MONEY This is obviously visible, even though we live in a world where “connection” is gradually becoming more relevant than qualification, but on average, people with university degree earn more than people with a high school degree. Of course, your earning potential even with a college degree varies by field and specific career, but on an average scale, people that went to college earn more. You can check out how to choose the right course to study. You will agree with me that even in your very own company if you were to employ people, you wouldn’t pay someone with a college degree same amount with someone with a high school certificate because their level of education is way different. 2) HAVE MORE CAREER OPPORTUNITY You know that earning a college degree is a smart way to increase career success. Employment opportunities are narrowed for those who only hold a high school certificate. Many jobs require professionals/college degree to even have. There are lots of jobs out there that without knowledge in a specific field, you will never have. Some jobs are reserved for the learned. College graduates have skills that qualify them for a wide range of career opportunities. They have more opportunity to choose from a list of jobs and also with a higher pay consideration than someone with a high school certificate. Furthermore, in today’s world, what is required is just a college degree. It doesn’t matter what you study in school anymore, with the right “connection,” you can have any job. 3) MAKE FRIENDS click the link below to read the full article: https://highfaculty.com/why-should-i-go-to-the-university/

From time to time, some persons have regularly asked about the importance of reading. They don’t just seem to get it. You may even be one of them who have asked the importance of reading and seemingly don’t get why people should read. But not to worry, you are about to learn the importance of reading now. For some persons, reading is for students who are preparing to write an examination. This shouldn’t be so. When there is an examination to write, then we will read and when there is no examination, reading becomes and an alien action. Earlier today, I was having a discussion with a young lady that graduated from the university a few months ago and she said, she will never read books again since she is done with school. I was perplexed by her words but nevertheless, maybe is her perception and understanding about the importance of reading. Your fancy or purpose for reading should not be tied to examination writing or even about being in college or high school. Reading is important for a variety of reasons. It’s not limited to passing an examination even though reading has lots of importance which are more than just passing an examination. Some time ago, I read about John Corcoran, who wrote The Teacher Who Couldn’t Read, he is a very intelligent man. He graduated from Secondary school and the University, became a popular Secondary School teacher and later a successful businessman, all these he did without knowing how to read. Now, if a man like John Corcoran can succeed without reading, why is reading important? A person should really read Mr John Corcoran’s story(https://www.bbc.com/news/stories-43700153) it will inspire or teach you something, to understand the feeling of shame, loneliness and fear that he experienced all his life before he was ever able to read. Though, he was able to succeed in spite of his inability to read because he is an intelligent man filled with ability and determination. NOW, LET’S LIST A FEW IMPORTANCE OF READING: 1) READING DEVELOPS LANGUAGE SKILL Most times when we read, we don’t readily know all the vocabulary we come across. When we check them up, our exposure to the language is increased. 2) READING ENCOURAGES THE THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE It doesn’t matter if you are reading for pleasure or for knowledge, the more you read, the more you learn and the zeal to learn more is increased. 3) READING KEEPS YOU INFORMED Nearly all our learning materials are in written form. If you don’t know how to read, you may not be able to benefit from the information that’s in written form. Reading is how we discover new things. Books, magazines and even the Internet are vast learning tools but it requires the ability to read and understand what is read. We live in an era where there is information all around us but the ability to read is an advantage to take good advantage of it. to read the full article, click the link below: https://highfaculty.com/importance-of-reading/ |

There have been a lot of arguments about “why is school important in today’s world” to the extent that so many persons believe school is a waste of time. If you have ever asked yourself the very same question about school, you are just about to be informed on the importance of school. According to the dictionary, school is defined as “an institution for instruction in a particular skill or field.” So many persons have lost their hope in school because of what they think school is. If you believe that when you go to school, you are entitled to be rich financially, going to school will frustrate you. School is an institution to gain knowledge, not an institution to make wealth or money. Going to a school was never a guarantee for financial prosperity. The thinking that going to school is the way to financial prosperity will only bring pain and frustration. A school is for enlightenment and for the structuring of purpose. One of the major importance of school is to gain knowledge. Though, as a human, we learn every day and can probably be schooled without going to the four walls of the classroom. This brings us to the argument that one doesn’t need to go to school to be educated as many have often said. Well, it’s very true that knowledge or education can be gotten from anywhere outside the four walls of the classroom. In your locality or environment there is this one dude who didn’t go to school or get the kind of education some persons get, yet, they are richer financially. This, in fact, can get anyone frustrated with the schooling system and say, school is a waste of time. I have come across graduates that went to school and even graduated with a first class but after looking for a job without getting any, they joined in the campaign that school is not important. BEFORE WE PROCEED FURTHER, HERE ARE JUST A FEW REASONS WHY SCHOOL IS IMPORTANT IN TODAY’S WORLD: 1) School increases your audaciousness. ... to read the full article, click or copy the link below: https://highfaculty.com/why-is-school-important/ |
