Sidey:
hello house,

my FSW application was recieved Dec 18th, 2014, signed by DAN; yet my bank account has not been charged . I applied under NOC 2263. Should I be worried? as I have seen a lot of people who submitted after me with positive results on this platform .
Try and contact cic on the status of your application.

Congrats on all updates and best wishes to some of us still preparing for WES and/or IELTS and speedy positive news to applicants already submitted.
My apologies to all and sundry for my abrupt absence on the thread.....even though I was not active,I have been passive to some reasonable extent.....and I'm most happy that our gurus have kept on with the good works.
Was involved in closing stages of a project which took my time.
Hopefully, should be telling you the beautiful landing story before end of the month/rescheduled election date cheesy
any thanks to many of my buddies here who always contact me to be sure I am fine.....really appreciate you all.
As always, good and positive news will always be our portion.
For many waiting for one update (CC cashment/DD encashment,PER,MR,PPR and pick-up mails),let us exercise patience as it will soon come......use the waiting period to prepare for the realities you will meet on ground after landing as you can never prepare enough.
Cheers.
Good to hear from you again n wishing you the best.

I think you can go ahead and teminate you investment. But make sure you have a readily available funds to provide whenever you are called on to show pof. Also, you can use a combination of fixed deposit and savings acct as pof, as long as they add up to the required minimum sum.

Cheers!
Congrats and thanks a lot

Gurus in the house, pls I need your help
When I applied for my fsw, I used fixed deposit as my pof. As it is now, am in need of cash and would like to cancel the fixed deposit. Is it okay to later use a combination of fixed deposit and statement of savings acct as my pof update later or must the pof remain the fixed deposit I have used for the appl initially, thank u you all.

employment letter is not mandatory, but in this instance it was required because she was employ into the organisation in a different role and later promoted into the one she used to apply for FSW. In the package they returned they said she did not provide her employment letter or promotion letter into that role.
Thank you for shedding more light on this, she can give the EE a shot. All the best

The amount sent initially is not enough to cover the new addition esp bearing in mind the devaluation of the naira. The only thing is that we put in a PFA statement with well over 3m as an aside(maybe they put that into consideration but i doubt it)
Cheers
Hello, please what stage are you in, was wondering why the request for permanent resisdency fee for the new dependant.

Employment letter is not mandatory but a reference letter from both present and past employers relating to the applicant's occupation is necessary. It must be i tandem with the lead statement of the NOC.
Thank you my Oga, God bless you

Thanks Tola73 when was your nephew's application received?
@tola73 and gurus in the house, is employment letter mandatory or optional in the fsw application? Cos I was surprised when tola73 stated it has a reason for cic rejecting his nephew's application. Please shed more light on this cos I thought it was optional

Not a silly question but seems it's coming late.
It used to be annual program but the FSWP as it is now has been realistically brought to an end with the introduction of the express entry program which present another form of guidelines and instructions slightly from the FSWP.
Cheers

Hello house, please I need your help in answering the following questions:

1. To the question 7c in Schedule 3 Economic class form ‘Is your spouse proficient in English?’ What answer can I give if my partner is proficient in English but did not take the IELTS test?
2. Can I use my hand to fill my liability of 0.00 in the schedule 3 economic class form, since the computer is not accepting this?
3. If I use a bank draft for payment, am I supposed to sign and date the fee payment form, please?
4. When writing a cover letter in support of my application, who should it be addressed to?

Thank you

Can I use a church marriage certificate for this application, or must it be a court marriage certificate?
TravelRe: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Highlyfavoured3: 8:57am On Dec 15, 2014
damkollins:
Like i said ,this clause does not refer to legally married couples .
In your case ,your baby's birth certificate showing the parents is all you need.
No need of any proof or adoption papers.....your biological child will never be under the court's jurisdiction and you don't need any proof of custody to be shown for your biological child other than you been the biological parents .
This like i said, refers to adopted children.
You do not need any of these .
Cheers
.
Thank you very much damkollins for taking out time to address this.I am very grateful
TravelRe: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Highlyfavoured3: 10:01pm On Dec 14, 2014
damkollins:
This was why i said my responses to questions 2 and 3 were based on assumptions that you're a single parent.
You actually made the questions complicated wink
If you're legally married and going with your spouse.......no need of any affidavit or the form i made mentioned of.
You do not need them ......please disregard your questions 2 and 3.....and also my responses to them.......its an uncalled for questions.
Cheers
.
Sorry if it is an uncalled for question. I wanted clarification. If you look at the document checklist number 17, there was no phrase to explain which 'children'- adopted, bioogical ....is being referred to in bullet point 3. You can crosscheck. Thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Highlyfavoured3: 8:26pm On Dec 14, 2014
damkollins:
1.Perfect .....put all your details on the additional sheet, sign and date it.
2.Yes....an affidavit in conjunction with " Separation Declaration for Minors Travelling to Canada (IMM 5604) (PDF, 29.12 KB)"
3.An affidavit and the form indicated above to be signed by the other parent (dad or mum) of the child in question .
Please note that answers to 2 and 3 above are strictly based on my assumption that the principal applicant is a single parent traveling with a child or more.
The affidavit is optional but i strictly advice it but the " Separation Declaration for Minors Travelling to Canada (IMM 5604) (PDF, 29.12 KB)" is a must with the full details of the unaccompanying parent with passport photograph and passport biodata page.
If you're legally married ,even if your spouse is not accompanying you,you do not need to follow my responses to questions 2 and 3.......you only need to state the reason for not accompanying in the generic form and also include " Separation Declaration for Minors Travelling to Canada (IMM 5604) (PDF, 29.12 KB)" to be on a safe side of caution.
Cheers.
@damkollins thanks, but i ended up getting confused with your response. Let me put this additional information for more clarity. I am legally married and would be travelling with my spouse and child. Please can i get a more specific answer. thanks
