BusinessCrowdfunding: An Investment Option by hiibiz(op): 8:33am On Dec 23, 2014
Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people, typically via the internet. The crowdfunding model is fueled by three types of actors: the project initiator (Business Owner) who proposes the idea and/or project to be funded; individuals or groups who support the idea; and a moderating organization (the "platform"wink that brings the parties together to launch the idea. There are basically two types of crowdfunding:
1. Reward Base:
Project owner gives a reward for contributing to their project. E.g pre-sell a service or product to lunch a business concept
2. Equity Base:
The investor receives shares of a company, in exchange for the money pledged. The company's success is determined by how successfully it can demonstrate its viability.

BusinessRe: The Viability Of Crowd Funding In Nigeria - Will You Participate by hiibiz(m):
iyoema has said it all about crowdfunding, I am an experienced crowdfunding consultant, started a franchise in january 2014 and we are planning to setup loan based crowdfunding and rebrand in 2015. We have funded two projects in Nigeria though not fully funded but they are not failed projects. There is no known law in Nigerian nor a government agency to regulate crowdfunding, but you can get regulated based on your activity.

I am always filled with joy when I see a startup company grow as a result of crowdfunding, an established company expand as a result of crowdfunding, an employee who handles all his financial needs as a result of crowdfunding. The kind of crowdfunding I am looking at operating will be loan based but will be beneficial to both the Business Owners (BO) and the investors. On the long term basis for the BO and sthort term basis for the investor. Mine will be quite different from what indigogo, kickstarter and other crowdfunding platforms in the world offer. It will improving the quality of life in my community.
