Truth is, I have passed through the wall of polytechnic (OND precisely) and I never for once observe this practical and theoretical aspects that people shout about, as one of the merit of going to a polytechnic.

The lecturers mainly dictate the content of their handouts in class and repeats same questions every year in their examinations. Even project; you just copy and paste it, pay 5k to your supervisor and you will earn your A or B.

I swear to God, if you end up with anything less than upper credit, then I believe the winch in your village are playing kiddo in your head.

I'm not pestering you to admit this but you know this is the truth.

Govt should find away to bridge the gap between Bsc and HND. What am I even saying, our education system is not even okay.

I think they are making an attempt towards bridging that gap. If you look at this year Jamb cut off, I believe that attempt is towards this dichotomy. But then, the discrimination has already been embedded in us. B.sc holder feel superior to hnd holders and the latter feel inferior to the former.

Someone commented that, HND holders are employed in oil companies. That is true, they employ them as technologist which someone with Bsc in Engineering would be their boss. Promotion for HND holders is limited.
Having 3rd class in your degree is poor but, some are intelligent, some had issues in school.
Saying polytechnic graduate are practical oriented is not true. Have met polytechnic graduates with upper credit in computer engineering that couldn't use Microsoft package like excel I was shocked, he told me polytechnic education has deviated from its objectives they no longer do practical like it was 20-30years ago.
My advice for both HND and 3rd class Bsc holders is to add to their qualifications.
Moreover, everything is not about certificate it is about what you can do/offer.

Yet, some fools are here deluding themselves about one fairy practical and theoretical aspect.

Some companies even prefer to employ OND instead of HND. HND in this country is dead.

i strongly believe and stand by HND is more better than BSC. come to think of it we the HND based on practicals and theoretical aspect of it, we don't believe in talking rather we believe in proving it and showing you how things goes

Most hnd holders I know cant even compose a single sentence talk less of writing a letter, and they will be around shouting practical and theoretical nonsense. Mtsheeeeew

This infers that Olevel would not be used as a determinant for admission, but most likely only JAMB results.

The advantage staying inside d campus is dat u do nt nid to worry or tink of transport every morning. Meaning u work frm ur hostel to the lecture hall while those off campus will be spending nothing less than 100 each day for transport.

How about the restrictions of no female student allowed in the boys hostel and vice versa?
