If not for greed why would anyone collect a caution fee of 250k. I bet you the agent refused to return the caution fee when the tenant said he is packing out hence the damages.

Two months ago, I was in the sitting room watching a premier league match when I heard a strange sound coming from the bathroom down the corridor. It sounded like someone moving buckets and rushing tap, almost like someone was washing clothes. That was odd, considering I was home alone.

I got up and walked toward the bathroom. As I approached, the sound abruptly stopped. When I entered, everything seemed normal, except for the dripping tap. It was as if someone had just turned it off a second before I walked in. I assumed it was a plumbing issue and brushed it off. But it kept happening. Not once or twic, more than six times now. And always when I’m home alone.

What haunts me most is that this was the bathroom my ex girlfriend used to wash cloths. She once told me washing clothes helped her relax and helped clear her mind.

But it doesn’t stop there. Sometimes, I come home from work to find my bed made and my clothes folded neatly. At times, the entire house is spotless, like someone had just cleaned it from top to bottom. It got so crazy I installed security cameras to figure out what was going on. Strangely enough, once the cameras were in place, the activity stopped. I left them running for a month. Nothing.

A week after I removed them, everything started up again. My girlfriend was always the type to clean my house and make sure everything is spotless. That's why I think she is the one. I know I sound crazy but that's the only possible explanation.
At night, I hear footsteps in the corridor and living room. Once, while I was on a Zoom call, someone knocked on my bedroom door. I immediately exited the call out of fear . There was no one else in the house.

I’ve considered moving out, but it’s not so simple. I just renewed my rent in January, and with how crazy housing prices have gotten in Lagos, finding another place close to work feels impossible right now.

If you have any advice, I’d genuinely appreciate it. I just want some peace of mind one way or another.

I have seen this before, You two made a blood oat, am I correct, if so, you have to call your parents you all should go to the village and perform some rites to break it. If you don't, the other one i saw too, the guy later died when he got married to another person, you have to be careful and break it before entering into any other relationship or marriage.

My bad, I took a second look at his picture and saw how young the guy is, the girl may likely be as you said. If so the guy should start grooming the girl to his taste and reduce the connection between her and her family. It is not good for a lady to love her parental family more than her own husband or home. The man needs to be more firm and let the lady buy into his vision.

No 1 is a very very wrong advice. Nigerian Universities computer science is a waste of time. Road side WASSCE holders business centre attendants are far better than Nigerian Universities Computer Science graduates.

please don't say what you don't know, of all my friends that studied computer science or computer engineering. Not even one is in Nigeria as we speak and about four of them, that I know of got employment from Nigeria with direct Visa sponsorship.

the key to what helped them is what i just posted, learn an aspect of programming or engineering and be very good at it before graduation.

A little back story.

Due to some ugly circumstances, i dropped out of school in 2019 and I've been at home since then, periodically picking up one or two low paying jobs. 2 years ago, I decided to learning a tech skill. I taught myself C++ programming language and I'm currently teaching myself mathematics aggressively, studying for min of 8 hours daily.

For the past two years, I've mostly always been in my room, I can be in our house for more than two weeks, without stepping a foot out of our door due to how engrossed in studying I always am. My goal is to learn C++, DSA , And Math to an undergraduate level then use my skills to apply for scholarships to study abroad, and probably work in a hedge fund company as a quantitative trader in the future. For those who know what leetcode is, i can currently solve most leetcode (hard) problems in less than 40 minutes.

Now, I'll be 24 in August, and my dad is worried that I'm wasting my life away because I've refused to pickup any real job or learn a trade, his worried that I'm already getting old, always reminding me that people my age are already getting married. Now he wants me to leave his house to go look for my own place to stay, and has offered me 7 million naira to go start life else where.

Now I plan to move out of Lagos to PH or Akwa Ibom, then use part of the money to start up a computer business center, where I'll be doing typing, printing, lamination, jamb registration, GCE/WAEC registrations, etc. One of the reasons I chose this is because I've worked in a place like this before and I have experience in how to run such a place. Another reason is that, this business would give me time to also study and sharpen my Math/Programming skills. I plan to rent a shop that is big enough so that I can also be sleeping/living there.

Now I seriously need advicing because this is such a turning point in my life and the next few years is going to make or break me because there is no room for any disastrous bad decision

Why not

1. Apply for computer science in the University and use part of the money to register at Niit or any good computer school to learn programming. 3million will be enough to do that and fix the remaining 4million in a bank to be getting small thing every year that can pay your house rent and little expenses.

2. Tell your dad, if he can add to it and sponsor you to apply to a school in canada or UK. Pay part school fees and you will take care of the rest when you get there.

that what if each region is giving an arm of government. like the executive in Abuja, the senate in Enugu and the judiciary that is supreme court in Lagos, it would give each region a sense of belonging. there are some ACs that don't cool every aspect of the room properly, if that is what the owner bought, then it should be replaced. People should learn to render services that was paid for.
