True that.
We only give opinion. But my point is, some folks ask for advise, get it and then refuse to take it. And get denied.
For example, in this forum if u read back you see tons and tons of avice thus 'don't use agents' or 'be honest'
But they go and come back with denials.
Now. If I may. I am a christian and believe in favour BUT God himself is a GOd of order and when a basic requirement is required, God no de do ojoro.
Again, IMO visit visa is for grooving and not a do or die affair. I believe God spends more time on world peace, poverty , securing jobs to feed the family and the propagation of the kingdom. (My opinion remember)
#scaringoff? Where a person has no visible home ties, advice to sit it out till a change occurs is candid and good advice.
But hey! Favour to all!
Nice one Lady G, your last statement has said it all.

What do you mean by modification?

You can't be talking about God's grace and favour when you present false information and fake documents. Scaring the visa applicant off the application is actually us doing him a favour. Unless you know what the agent has filled in on your DS160 and can verify that all the information is correct, you are halfway to a denial and possible ban from the Consulate.
Bro, No one is talking about fake documents here! Modification in terms of change in policy bro is what I mean.

@9jastar daalu sooo! I have realised that a lot of people on this thread deep down know the answers to their questions but want sonebody else to give them false hope.
I have had people DM me for opinions then refuse it... Cos they already have their minds made up or they believe 'I am different' or a shortcut exists. It gets tiring to be d voice of doom

Kelvdim truth is a hard pill to swallow but surely, u should know that if your reason for travel has been overtaken, then the application is moot?
Well, it's good to have your opinions, one needs to be informed, but not as if the infos here are like the direct voices of the VOs. You and I don't know what modification takes place as we speak. Others dat were more qualified than you are never got the visa. Opinions here are to guide others and not to scare them off totally. It's a about God's grace and favor.

VO: MARRIED?
ME: YES, WITH 2 DAUGHTERS
VO: WHAT FOR?
ME: TECHNICAL TRAINING
VO: WHERE DO YOU WORK?
ME: RESPONDED
VO: WHAT'S YOUR POSITION?
ME: RESPONDED
VO: TELL ME ABOUT THE TRAINING
ME: CONVINCINGLY DID.
VO: HOW LONG U BEEN WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY?
ME: OVER 3 YEARS
VO: WHY WERE U CHOSEN BY YOUR COMPANY FOR THIS TRAINING?
ME: STATED REASONS CONCISELY AND SIMPLE.
VO: *NODS* ...TYPING AND THEN THE TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT! HAVE YOU EVER TRAVELLED OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY BEFORE?
ME: NO

THEN SHE BROUGHT OUT A GUN *THAT BAD BLUE SHEET* OYA TRY AGAIN SOME OTHER TIME.

I didn't let it bother me tho, I enter the car park down too medium stout bottles.
Sorry about that! Just summon courage and don't give up tho. @Lady G, am wondering, does this mean most applicants without travel history are most likely to be rejected?

This is July. Any visa u get will be on a passport expiring in less than 6 months.
Your passport must have at least a 6 month validity period.
Why do u even want to go thru the hassles of getting visa and then subsequently running around?
I am renewing the passport soon. Am married, do I need to go with pictures of myself, wife nd son?

for real, it's one of the most tasking roles in banking operations so far. Those days, I was undergoing training as an ATM custodian,it was fun at first, but wasn't funny anymore. Few months later, I had serious muscle pulls. Something that happened to me, while I was in secondary sch.

Its not important...that is like running away from your own shadow, you will still have to meet visa requirements which is more important that travel history. There is always a first time for every frequent traveler. Concentrate on meeting the visa requirements.
thanks for the eye opening information. I pray to return here with good news.

Yes but that does not mean getting visa stamp of countries like Benin republic or Ghana. They are referring to countries like SA, Canada, France, Germany etc
so in this regard, is it advisable I get it stamped from any of these countries, or its not necessarily important ? Just want to be sure

That is waste of time and money, stamp from those countries are useless and will not help your application one bit

Your salary is good and if you have payslips and salary account to proof that you earn that much then your chances of getting a visa is high.
You have a point, but it was stated during my first refusal that I have never met the travel conditions of any other country( travel history). One of the reasons why I was refused, Jan 2015.

What is your salary range now?
@ Justwise: I earn 2.5m annual salary. I am re-applying soon, but want to get a Benin republic or Ghana entry stamp to show as travel history, my application got reasonable funds aside my salary account, hotel accommodation intact, pay slips, reference from my employer. Is the travel history necessary? What do you think?

Not a good idea, you don't take a loan to fund foreign holiday, you can take a loan to fund studies or medical treatment but not holiday. Budget within your earned salary.
Ok, how do I defend a huge sum in my account?

This issue of "spending more than 2 months salaries" is usually when the applicant doesn't have much money as account balance, but if the applicant has substantial amount of verifiable sum in his account, he can actually get the visa even if the cost of the trip will take 10 months salaries: there are people who have 5 million in their account even though they earn 80k monthly

If you boost your account with large amounts they will just suspect money logement and you are doomed again.
They want to see a steady pattern of transactions.
Kindly explain what you mean by steady pattern of transactions. I have set aside 600k for my trip to and fro. My question is how long should this fund remain in my account before I tender it for re-application.Note that my salary inflow is steady according to my offer letter.

They always have ways of checking your statement and funds.
If what you claimed to be there does not match with what they found then rejection.
now I get! Can I deposit like 600k, along side salary inflow for the next three months before I re-apply? Please advise on how long should I leave the funds b4 and after application.

You have NOT been refused because you do not have family or an invitation to the UK.
Do not know where you got that idea from! You do not need an invitation for a visitors visa.
Your funds must be sufficient for your travel. accomodation and food, plus spending money.
This must not empty your account! You will still need funds when you return home.
Leaving nothing after the trip looks like you plan to stay.
You need strong ties to proove that you will return home, like letter of leave, or family, or managed landed property.
Yes, I provided an introduction letter to theBritish High commission, my letter of employment, sizx months payslips, evidence of landed properties were also included. The only doubt is that I withdrew funds during the process the application was filed, does this mean they contact your bank for current account balance?

@Justwise:I was denied this year January on basis of not having family ties in the UK (Invitation Letter). The basis was on my closing balances which were less than 10,000 NGN, thou I had about 620k in my account for the trip but it was not considered, cos the fund the was deposited few weeks to the application. I intend to re-apply but want to build my salary account with about 700k for the next six months. But I do not have working friends in the uk so as to obtain an invitation letter. I have a good job here, just want to visit the uk and return to my job, dats all. Please advise on my chances of getting a visa.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by hoomogh(m):
Hello everyone! I just picked up my passport frm teleperformance and was refused. The reasons stated : were 1. My closing balance is less than 10,000 naira except for the last recent transatciton of about 620,000 naira. and secondly I do not have travel history, which might offset his/her initial concerns as to knw if I comply with other countries immigration rules. Lastly, I don't have family or friends in the UK that cab accommodate me during my trip(though I provided hotel booking). Please advise, how soon can I re-apply and on what grounds should I file my application? @Justwise , pls advice on wayforward.
