It is shocking to see how many people in this forum do not even see the ground under their feet. When a government refuses to amicably address the issues that surround a dragging protest, it is indirectly calling for an inevitable national crisis. These men have not started bombings/suicide bombings... they have not started forceful abductions and hostage situations... they have not even started war... but the government seems to be turning deaf ears at this point. By the time the bombings and massive killings start, it will be rather late to call for peace talks (as is the case of Boko haram); demands will be higher... forces to deal with will be greater and above all, numerous lives will be lost by then. Regardless of your tribe, location and status, when that time comes, we will all suffer it. "Young people ask your parents and grandparents about the Biafran war and listen carefully" It is the duty of every Nigerian (regardless of your tribe) to earnestly, with all available capacity, call on our government to amicably resolve this agitating situations before it goes out of hands. I do not advocate for war or for Biafra. I advocate for peace within amicable solutions. I strongly believe that such should be the stand of Nigerians. Let us live beyond the tribal hate that is spurring in our communities and social media. Let us show the brighter side of our maturity and let us call the good in us to action. Ipobdevil: |
