The Northern Elders Forum has passed a vote of no confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari.

Prof. Ango Abdullahi-led NEF stated this at a press conference on the state of the nation in Zaria, Kaduna State, on Sunday.

The Director, Advocacy and Engagements of the NEF and a former Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, who read the text of the press conference, said Buhari had failed not only the North but the entire country with his style of leadership.

Notable northerners at the briefing included a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alamin Daggash(retd.); Secretary of the Coalition of Northern Groups, Abdullahi Usman; and NEF Chairman, Prof. Ango Abdullahi; Ambassador Yahaya Kwande, Deputy National Chairman of NEF, Alhaji Bello Kirfi (Wazirin Bauchi); DIG Labaran Wurno, Alhaji Yakubu Shehu, former Managing Director of the defunct Bank of the North, Hajiya Amina Yahaya, among others.

According to her, marrying her husband, Onimisi, is the best decision she has ever made.

Explaining further, Subomi said that her man stayed with her even when it was obvious that she was cheating on him with another irresponsible guy.

Subomi said Onimisi does not drink, party, keep friends or smoke and that he does not have broad shoulders or fashion sense but he is handsome, calm, God fearing, hardworking and amazing.

The young lady praised her man further by saying he is the kind of husband any woman prays for .

In a post appreciating her husband, she had stated that her husband even though he was not her type, had stayed with her despite her infidelity while they were dating.

The post spread like wildfire on social media and got so many talking. She has now revealed that she has lost her husband after most concentrated on his staying after her infidelity instead of other good qualities she stated.

A 22-year-old Maliki Bello who claimed to be the leader of Berry Boys’ Secret Cult has been arrested alongside 11 others by operatives of the Special Strike Force on Social Miscreants of the Lagos State Police Command.

Lagos State Police spokesperson, Bala Elkana said the dreaded cult leader was arrested on February 4 after operatives from Itire Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Barkfur Kromkyes monitored his activities.

Upon being arrested, Bello who has been on the wanted list of the Lagos State Police Command revealed that he was initiated into cultism at the age of 12 when he was in Junior Secondary School (JSS1). He further revealed that they use Facebook and other social media platforms to recruit new members.

Mercy Aigbe has said marriage is overrated and not an achievement. The mom of two who has been married twice, second marriage to Lanre Gentry, but got separated from him in 2018, amidst allegations of domestic violence, said mothers usually bring up women to take whatever their partners do to them, all because they want them to stay married.

Aigbe stated this while recounting her marital experience on her YouTube channel. She said, “Our mothers brought us up, as women, to take whatever our partners do to us. They tell us to take it because we want to remain in a man’s house. To me, it is not an achievement. Let’s just say as it is, marriage is overrated. It takes two people to make it work; it’s not just about the women. But, everybody keeps heaping all the responsibilities on the woman. That shouldn’t be.”

The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) Ikoyi, Lagos, has charged Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly called Iyanya, for alleged car theft.

According to TheNation, Iyanya was arraigned for the offence on February 4, 2020 before Justice Mobolanle Okikiolu-Ighile of an Igbosere High Court, Lagos.

The police filed the one-count charge marked LD/9024c/2019, against the singer on March 15, 2019.

Iyanya failed to appear in court for arraignment, despite allegedly being served with the charge and hearing notice, following which the arraignment was adjourned six times.

At the last adjournment, Justice Okikiolu-Ighile threatened to invoke the power of the court to ensure Iyanya’s attendance to take his plea.

The ‘Kurukere’ singer appeared before the judge on February 4, 2020, following which the charge was read to him.
