Rivers state is currently filled with tension following the series of killings and stabbings which have trailed the rerun election. According to reports, Mr Flag Ojukaye Amachree in company of Teke Amachree who left his ward in Buguma, Abalama community and tried to hijack materials, was resisted and chased away by the youths.

He allegedly drove back with some SARS operatives, shot numerous gunshots, which killed this young officer (pictured) and reportedly drove his car on him.This is quite sad.. talking about the extent people will go just to satisfy their selfish wishes....

This tragic multiple accident involving a trailer and a commercial bus happened few hours ago on Iyana Iworo Oworo bridge towards Ogudu/Third Mainland expressway in Lagos. Both the trailer and bus nearly fell of the bridge after the crash as seen in the pictures... The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained -as the incident has caused a traffic gridlock in the area...

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has seized about 20 cartons of different brands of popular alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, from 12 shops at Upper Sakponba, Mission Road and vegetable market, off Airport Road. Test kits were used to ascertain the wholesomeness of the processed drinks.

A Chief Regulatory Officer in the Enforcement and Operations unit of the agency, Joseph Idowu, decried the prevalence of fake and badly processed drinks in Benin.

A pharmacist, Godwin Okonufia, who was part of the NAFDAC enforcement team, pointed out that the consumption of counterfeit drinks could cause kidney problems. He, therefore, urged consumers to buy processed drinks from reputable authorized sales outlets....
