Business / Re: CBN Moves Against Banks For Hoarding $5billion by Hotice085: 8:19am On Feb 02
The banking sector in Nigeria is the most Parasitic, Criminally minded, satanic, demonic and wicked of all sectors
The most corrupt, a prostitution cartel that is why an Economist not a banker should always be the CBN governor.
The banks in Nigeria are contributing nothing but hardship to the citizens of Nigeria while at the same time killing the country economically
While every sectors of the economy are feeling the heat, companies are shutting down, people are not saving and are losing their jobs yet banks are turning up unbelievable profits, how come?

Look at the owners of Access Bank instead of going into production manufacturing they are building universities so as to cash out sharp sharp. They don't fund the real sectors of the economy but only things that will bring money sharp sharp

We need a Soludo that will come and kill these wicked banks that allow our women to prostitute, steal from us by charges and deduction, if not for OPAY and other PSBs we for de see shege pro max from Zenith UBA Access and other demonic commercial banks

Business / Re: CBN Sets $1m As Capital Requirement For International Money Transfer Operators by Hotice085: 6:38am On Feb 02
racerve:

Attacking the symptoms instead of treating the cause.

Dollar scarcity is a supply and demand issue.

Give us stable power, and factories will start popping up everywhere. Once local manufacturing kicks off, we won't need to import so much, reducing demand.

Supply will increase when foreign investors regain confidence in us. For this to happen, the govt first has to start making coherent policies, tackle insecurity, and generally become more accountable to the masses. We also need to explore other commodities for exporting besides oil.

That's it. All these CBN directives are band aids that won't affect anything in the long run.

Which kind supply and demand, in this bitting times who is demanding what in Nigeria?

What is happening is baseless speculations and thievery by the commercial banks and currency cabals
Are you telling me that demand for automobiles, electronics or whatever in Nigeria where many citizens purchasing powers has been eroded is high or what?
Foreign companies have shut down is it because of demand or what?
The Economy situation in Nigeria has nothing to do with basic economic issues like production or demand and supply but artificial factors created by the cabals run economy of Nigeria
Dollar is N1500 becos of more and more Nigerians are looking for dollars or companies all na lies

Companies are shutting down

Go and ask the fuel stations if they are selling more fuel to customers or if more fuel stations have shut down
Purchasing power of people is almost zero except for food yet people are saying supply and demand wetin

Like the CBN Governor said the naira is seriously under valued and this is the only time I will agree with him

Good one.

Southern Nigerians are taking back what belong to them as most educated region in the black world. It's a welcome development.

How can all major offices be stationed in the North with less than 15% educated people

Talk of oil well, if North doesn't occupy 95% Nigeria is never good.

Gradually, everything will be normalised

You are a very local village tribalistic thinking human being
Did you think it was the north that moved it or the then rush to Abuja as headquarters of all agencies

Honestly speaking, there’s no side you’ll support on this and not appear as ‘evil’ . At some point, I was praying for dollar to rise massively against naira , but now, I swear I’m praying against it even though most of my savings are in dollars. You’re still going to use your profit to buy “ owongogo”. Trust me ehn, the disadvantage pass the advantage.

Imagine an iPhone 14 Pro Max which is not supposed to be more than 800k is now almost 1.3m for base memory brand new… a bag of rice is now 65k, not being able to afford a bag of rice with minimum wage is the worst thing that can happen to a country . It means you’ll work for two months without spending a penny before u can own a bag of rice. Now tell me, u go Dey chop the raw rice only ?
Imagine a Camry made 15 years ago is selling for fúcking 6meter toks, shey na life be that?..

In my shop now, I don tell my sale boy to dey update me first before him go sell any market I go quickly ask for price from my plug before selling. Wetin funny pass be say , most time , to restock , you’ll need to add money . Na life be that ?

An extended fam member was sick days ago and when it time to pay the bills , I collected it thinking it’s just chicken change I go chest , I see bills my heart cut, I sha fagidi pay am then stopped picking calls afterwards cos e pass wetin I dey think , I stylishly asked dem nurse say why e cost like this, she said ‘ u no Dey Nigeria ? Everything don cost as Dollar don cost nah’… bro wetin concern dollar concern hospital ? grin

Pot of soup wey my woman go arrange for 4k before is now 10k and Walai talai she no scam me. Na before I Dey tell am to recount her experience at the market in the name of ‘gisting’ na lie o , I one use style see wether she chop me grin 😄
And the reality is, even if you manage to beat the inflation due to dollar edging, trust me, if you Dey waka, Dey look back o…

My intention of saving in dollars these days in all honesty is just to reduce inflation effect on my money , not necessarily profit( cos if you look at it very well, you’re not gaining o ).

The problem be say why everybody de look for dollars?
We can't survive like this, but for those thinking the continue fall of rhe naira will bring them more profit their foolishness no get part 2
The CBN Governor last week said the naira is seriously under valued and this is true, people are only using speculation to crash the naira and not real economic factors like "supply/demand, manufacturing, etc"
Buying and selling of dollars is now for every gbogbo ti gbogbo who thinks say Dem fit blow over night.
As people now rush to save in dollars I see the government coming out with some drastic measures, if Dangote and the oil marketers will deal in naira it will affect the naira positively so bro as you de save in dollar make you de shine your eyes becos the cabals for dis naija no like make citizens de enjoy

Smh...okay I get..your family can go to hell as long as you are making x5 profit right?? Even that profit that you are shouting , the inflation will still make the profit become useless ..so what ends it ??

That is the mentality of Africans, they only want to be the richest person in their village

The NTA showed a lot of variety shows in the 1970s and 1980s and many highlife artistes performed on these shows. Some of these shows were hosted by the highlife artistes, while others, like Bandstand, featured a different artiste every week. I am now going to post videos of these artistes performing on those shows.

On this thread there will be videos and details of:

The Bala Miller Show (8pm NTA Network)

The Art Alade Show (Sunday mornings, NTA Channel 10).

The Bobby Benson Show (NTA Channel 10 and later NTA2 Channel 5, Saturday afternoons)

Princess Afi Usuah Show (NTA Network, 8pm, I can't remember what day)

The Stephen Osita Osadebe Show (NTA Channel 10, can't remember what day or time)

The YomYem Show (Sunday mornings, NTA Channel 10).
