Wike is just being silly. He is currently the governor. If he is so sure of his allegations, let him petition his security agents and ask the state lawyers to get to work in prosecuting Amaechi for theft.
It's also possible that wikes thug probably did the looting as soon as Amaechi left knowing fully well that wike will replace them and pin it down on amaechi.

Wike is just being mischievous. This is the only way the PDP roll. they prefer to go to AIT to tell the whole world that Tinubu is a thief when all they could have done was to prosecute him. Wike is threading the same path. A very foolish path. Only fools will fall for such.

Look at how stupid you sound. Wike's thug did the looting...blah blah blah blah...

Take a look at No. 243. The construction of 18 classrooms at N165, 000,000. This put the construction on 1 classroom at N9,166,667. So Fashola is telling us that to construct a classroom in Lagos costs N9.2m?

A closer look into the same list shows No. 224 in which they are construction 108 units of 2 and 3 bedroom flats in 9 blocks at N203m. This put the average construction of a 2 bedroom flat at N1,879692. If a 2 bedroom flat costs N1.9m to construct in Lagos, how does a classroom cost N9.2m??

This is total rubbish and abuse of human rights. How many Americans were extradited to Nigeria to face trial when Pfizer experimental drug "Tovan" killed 11 babies in Kano

Now that Bode George's wife is NDLEA chairman it's time to witch-hunt political enemies right? In the USA, there rule of law and it is strictly adhered to. USA did not send Bode George's wife to catch Chief Buruji Kashamu. She's doing it so that Buhari's govt will see that's she's working and retain her.

As a matter of fact, the court has ordered parties in the matter including the NDLEA to maintain status quo until judgment is delivered on Wednesday 27th May 2015.

So what court issued the arrest warrant to the NDLEA to arrest Kashamu?

Illegality cannot breed legality.

The idiots always disturb me here in ile-ife, they once followed me with their car from oau campus gate to AP (people in Ife will know d place) they searched my bag, collected my phones searched every file on my laptop. They checked every transaction I made through banks sms on my phones.

They saw nothing, one then began to ask jamb questions, how can I have 3 smart phones at a time, what does she(my mum) do for a living, oau is on break y am I still around bla bla bla

One then asked me to enter their vehicle, I had to tell them that I'm a citizen of FRN, I have done nothing wrong therefore I can't be arrested on any ground whatsoever. I took my bag from them and started walking. They were like "u no book abi? Our eyes are on you.

They are also present around banks begging for money from the supposed yahoo boys, they don't ask me anymore because of the insults I give to them.

God bless FBI, our policemen are evil.

The issues of police harassment in Ife is unjustified but it boils down to the activities of yahoo boys in Ife. My kid brother was harassed in front of Mr Biggs opposite First Bank at Lagere.

All nairalanders who commented on this thread, I say a big thank you. The experience really messed up my day. As the moment I am writing a petition to be addressed to the IG media houses and all relevant bodies I can think of.

The pictures I took are less than useful because I was moving when I took them. But the testimonies of other nairalanders on their harassment at this particular Berger bus stop shows that this practice has been going on for long. It has to stop. Please write your experiences and paste on all social media available to you. And be vigilant too.

Crime / How I Escaped Being Kidnapped By "Police" In Lagos Today by Hotstew(m): 9:45am On May 20, 2015
I had a harrowing experience with some agent of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) this morning and this has prompted me to come to the conclusion that the percentage of bad eggs in the NPF is by far more than that of the good ones who stuck to the professionality of policing and maintaining law and order as stipulated by their job description. I am not a resident of Lagos State neither have I visited Lagos in a very long time. The occasional times I visit Lagos is either if I'm on an official assignment from my place of work or I'm visiting my sister (she works with an IT firm at Victoria Island).

I had to visit my sister in Lagos today. She has taken I'll for 3 days and my dad (who is resident in Ondo State) is really worried. He mandated me that I go see what's happening as he will join me later in the day because we live in different cities. (I work in Oshogbo, Osun State). I would have left him to go check my sister up but I'm not unaware of the stress the inherent traffic in Lagos can wreck on an old man. Going with my better judgment, I decided not to drive to Lagos.

For the trip, I packed my laptop bag with just a shirt, jeans trousers and a boxer short since I will be spending just 1 day. I boarded a commercial bus and by 5:31 AM, I was en route already. I call my old man to confirm if he has moved to which he asserted the affirmative.

My journey to Lagos was mostly uneventful and smooth. I never knew a rude awakening was waiting for me as soon as I alighted from the bus. I got off the bus at Berger immediately after the bridge. I'm sure Lagos residents know that this is one of the major terminals for commercial vehicles streaming into Lagos daily. On getting off the bus, I slung my small laptop bag over my shoulder and was descending one of those stairs to go chill out at any restaurant and eat breakfast and wait for my dad who said he as at that time has just gotten to Sagamu.

I was suddenly tapped on the shoulder my a man wearing a white lace sown in the Yoruba bùbá and sóró. He told me to follow him. By default I ignored him and kept going down the stairs. I have heard of several people who have been hypnotized and scammed by strangers in Lagos and I'm not ready to be a victim. All that was on my mind was to see my sister.

As I was walking away, a uniformed policeman ran past me on the stairs. When he got to the base, he corked his rifle and told me to go back to the road and explained why I disobeyed the "police officer" that first tapped me. I told him I didn't know he's a policeman because he didn't show me any identification and he wasn't wearing his uniform. He replied by say "that one na story. Go back up to the road. Respect yourself". I went back to the road. Even though people were much that was passing by, I don't know why these people selected me out of the multitude.

When I got back to the road, the one that previously tapped me asked me what was in my bag. I told him it's my change of clothes. I opened it and showed him the content. He ordered me to give it to him. I did. Then he poured the content on the ground. My shirt, jeans and spare boxers which were the only content of the bag was right there on the dusty ground. This really infuriated me. I asked him why he had to do that, he smiled wickedly and said in Yoruba "Orí ò pé" (literally meaning "your head is not correct"wink I picked up my stuffs and I guess this really pissed her off. He grabbed the bag and the dusty clothes and dropped it in the boot of a green Mazda 626 car. All these while, the uniformed officer has gone back to sit in the back seat of the car.

Then another man also dressed in mufti came and asked me for my phone.
New mufti man: Where are your phones?

Me: They are in my pocket.

New mufti man: Give them to me.

Me: Why? Are you looking for a lost phone?

New mufti man: (Laughs) You are asking me questions abi. Are you into internet fraud? Are you a yahooboy?

This question shocked me because I wasn't expecting such. I never knew this was what they are looking for. My instinct told me to cooperate with him since I don't have any incriminating thing on my phone. I told him I wasn't a fraudulent and unlocked my blackberry Q10 and handed it to him. He looked through. As he was doing that, the other guy on native was stopping other passersby and searching them.

After he looked through my phone, he said to the uniformed man that there was nothing in the phone. I was expecting him to give me my phone and bag and let me go. Then the unexpected happened. He ordered me to get into the car and at the same time, he switched off my phone. I was so angry, I swear if it wasn't that I was in an area where I don't know anybody, I would have punched the crap out of him.

Before he could put the phone in his pocket, I snatched it from him. One instinct said I should run but my better judgment was against it because I didn't do anything wrong. As I grabbed the phone, the guy lunged at me. That. Was how he started punching and shuffling me. I held his shirt at the neck very tight and I used my other hand to press the ON button on my phone. As the scuffle was going on, the other guy in native joined in dragging me. The were pulling me in the direction of their car. I started shouting that they were kidnappers but I kept an eye on the screen of my phone. By this time, people were gathered already by they typical Lagos crowd were just looking. Nobody interfered.

Immediately my phone showed 100% on the screen, this is an indication that it has fully booted, I used all my strength to break free from them, ran a bit because they pursued me. I opened my phone and started taking pictures of them. Though I didn't get any good shot because I was moving backwards and the pictures were blurry, I said I've sent it to my friends and siblings and that by evening, everybody on all social networks will see their faces and identify them.

Just like magic, they stopped harassing me. The one in uniform now came down as said give him his bag. Let him go. That's how I escaped being kidnapped by men of the NPF this morning at Berger. As I write the update, waiting for my dad to arrive so I can take him around, I'm looking at them across the road. They are still at Berger bus top harassing people and extorting money from unfortunate people who fall into their trap.

I hope the new IGP and the incoming govt will do something abt this. Really, Nigeria in the hands of these present crop of police me has gone to the dogs.

2n2k:
Nothing will hit the bank. The report was muddled up

The Accountant General paid N5.3billion to Edward's account for the benefit of his clients in January 2014. Edward started withdrawing the sum piecemeal based on the credited amount. During the year, the CBN ordered the recall of the entire N5.3 billion earlier credited for some undisclosed reason which Gtb must and complied with.

While Edward was right in suing GTB, CBN and Accountant General, the judge misled itself in excluding the CBN and accountant general as the defendants in the case. Is the judge saying a bank must disburse money that is no longer in its possession? He should know how cbn/bank relationship works. The CBN does not even need to require Gtb to remit the money back to it, cbn will simply debit the Gtb account maintained with it. It is now left for the bank to recover the fund from the customer

GTB still erred. What if the guy has withdrawn all the money? What would they have done? Won't they notify the account owner?

This money is supposed to be consultancy fee for all the LGAs in Nigeria. I don't see it as outrageous. Afterall, the CBN under Sanusi Lamido paid El Rufai N5 billion in consultancy fee in 2013 and nobody raised an eyebrow.

Even if they gain access to the chambers, there is a procedure to impeachment. They will serve him impeachment notice. The CJ will constitute a panel. Then the panel will investigate and write a report. But trust me, even with 100 policemen, these guys will never enter Ekiti State even if Bohari follows them.

The CJ ignored their cry to set up a panel. What makes you think he will listen to dem when buhari is sworn in? Buhari does not control the judiciary.

These Apc lawmakers have lost totally. Even if they succeed in removing Fayose, his deputy will be sworn in and she will enjoy an homogenous HOA of PDP members. One naira, dem no go collect.

Oga to impeach a sitting Governors isn't that hard friend, Firstly this is a case of 19 lawmakers who have stong evidence against fayose, also fayose have been denying them entrance into the assembly chamber remember. So in this case after the swearing in of GMB the IG is answerable to GMB compulsory.. So there wont be any security to deny the assembly member from gaining entrance to the assembly complex for sitting as the IG will give instruction to the commisioner of Ploice in Ekiti directly for the lawmakers to have access and seat. about the Chief Judge he is also answerable to GMB and the chief judge of the federation and directive will be given immidiately if not for anything but for the insult Fayose give to GMB during campaign... So my friend Fayose is a gooner.

It's not that hard right? But it was very hard to impeach amaechi even when the Mbu was the commissioner of police in Rivers State. The police at the state level are loyal to the governor.

Or is the case of Al Makura not fresh in ur brain? They notified the CJ to constitute a panel, he did but they were all Al Makura's friends. Why has the CJ not listened to the 19 Apc lawmakers? Watch and learn politics from Fayose.

Even if these pple are given access to the chambers, Fayose supporters will invade the place and disperse them. Police don't want to die for anybody o

How do you intend to do that btw May 29th and June 6th? Buhari will change the Acting IG immediately at the swearing in grounds right? And he will change the commissioner of police in Ekiti too. How is Buhari going to influence the Chief Judge to constitute a panel when the Chief judge is a Fayose loyalist? He will remove him too right? Then I guess Buhari will remove/sack all the PDP members in Ekiti too.
