the lower it is in your water the better. if you have high amonia content, you will have to change your water everyday.

Fish farming is the most lucrative agricultural venture as long as you do it right. I'm a young farmer too. But in Lagos and PH is not the only issue at my abode. AMONIA is another wahala.

Please like Mercylicious asked, explain to us in detail the economic benefit of Formula 101 over local and imported feed.

Since you said the formula was generated to reduce the cost of fish meal in feed ingredient where 50kg of fresh fish that is sold around N6000 is equal to 50kg of fish meal that is basically made up of fish remnant that cost about N15,000.

Now let assume 50kg of fishmeal is used in formulation of a x kg, what quantity [kg] of raw fish will it required to arrive at that[x]kg

In other word kindly do a comparative analysis of fishmeal Danish/Local and Ice fish in feed formulation.

We would equally want to know the type of Fish used [Mockerel,Titus etc] and other ingredients used in the formulation of formula 101

note that 50kg of fish is not 6k o
15kg of fish is 6k.

I was feeding a specific formula, but I hardly have time to prepare it this days so, I interswitched with vital feed once in a while(like three times now) and when I do so they take the whole bag once. please can the number of fishes be estimated by the amount of feed they take? my fishes take 15kg of feed at ago.

i was with humble007 today with his formula 101 it was really impressing. we still have loving people in Nigeria i must tell you av met few people on nairaland and am happy with most of them they have been helpful encouraging and challenging they all got me inspired.

Those fishes are doing great i just stocked 2200 pieces and and going to feed them with durante for 1month 1-2wks and start with formula 101

The feed is a local feed with wat looks like garri as d binding agent. waiting for the recipe of formular 1. how old are d fish?

Just yesterday, i paid 4k to buy a fish at a joint adjacent my house. i was just smiling cos they will be my customer when i selling fish.

you are sharp. 1.)I made a little research and got to know that most of the ingredients are more nutritious when boiled in water compared to when roasted and pelleted, the only problem is that you need a good binding agent that very little quantity of it is enough to bind a larger quantity of the proteins involved.
and another thing about fishmeal is that most of it is gotten from fish dirt and its so expensive why not buy a cartorn of raw fish 20kg for 5750 than buying same 20kg of fishmeal for 14k. 5 minute parboiling and cutting to tiny pieces is all you need.
