Buhari, Saudi Crown Prince agree to establish Nigeria – Saudi Council

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Riyadh accepted an invitation from the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, for the establishment of Nigeria- Saudi Council aimed at promoting investments and enhancing relations between both countries

The decision was the highpoint of a bilateral meeting between the Nigerian leader and the Crown Prince which took place on the margins of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference.
A statement by Malam Garba Shehu, the President’s spokesman in Abuja, said the meeting was initially scheduled to hold in the office of the Crown Prince but out of courtesy and respect for the Nigerian leader, Prince Salman insisted that he would meet with President Buhari in his hotel room at The Ritz Carlton, Riyadh

Nigeria to review Foreign Policy

Nigerian government is to review the country’s Foreign Policy to meet with the demands of contemporary times in international relations, especially to protect Nigeria’s vital national interests.
The Minister of state, Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada, who disclosed this during a public lecture organised by the Association of Retired Career Ambassadors of Nigeria, ARCAN, in Abujaunder the Chairmanship of former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar said that the review was in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive.
Ambassador Dada noted that President Buhari on assumption of office had issued Nigeria’s foreign policy framers a nine-point agenda to be executed at the ministry, with the major aim to review of the country’s foreign policy.

Gov polls: INEC distributes 2.4m PVCs in Bayelsa, Kogi.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has said that it has so far distributed 2,485136 Permanent Voters’ Cards to the electorate in Bayelsa and Kogi States ahead of the November 16, Governorship Poll.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu disclosed this at a quarterly consultative meeting of the Commission with Civil Society Organisations in Abuja on Wednesday.
