Foreign AffairsRe: Zimbabwe Elects 47 Year Old Chemissa Nelson As New President -photos by iabdullahi: 8:38am On Aug 03, 2018
@OP: This your post is false. See this below.

(CNN)President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who replaced Robert Mugabe after serving him for decades, was declared winner of Zimbabwe's presidential election, the country's electoral commission said Thursday night.

Mnangagwa received 51% of the vote, said Priscilla Chigumba, commission chairwoman.
Opposition party members who questioned the count were escorted out of the room before the final vote was announced amid fears of further unrest and claims of vote-rigging by Mnangagwa's opponents.

You need to bring this voting link down because it allows multiple voting.
You can never get true picture of what you intend to achieve with it except you want to deceive yourself or make money from the clicks.

PoliticsRe: My Experience At INEC Office Today by iabdullahi: 4:46pm On Jul 19, 2018
Akby:
INEC really surprised me today. In fact, it all still seemed like a magic to me. Please read on…

I did my registration in 2011 at Owo Local Government, Ondo State. The registration process was about closing so I took time to register even though I knew I won’t come back to vote there (I reside in Lagos). When I learnt I couldn’t register again in 2015, I felt perplexed and just lost interest in the whole process. No way I was going back to Owo to collect my PVC. I barely even know the town and considering time constraint too.

After witnessing what happened at Ekiti elections, I took it upon myself to get my PVC whatever it's going to take. I took time off work today to visit INEC office – Alimosho LGA, Lagos. I went with my voter’s temporal slip, international passport, NIN slip and NYSC credentials (Yeah I took it lol!). I was super prepared for any document they’ll request.

I explained my plight to the official and he said I should verify my details online before proceeding. www. voters. inecnigeria. org (Please mind the way the link was typed). I punched in my details and hoola I saw my previous registration details. He told me to go and print it at a nearby café and submit at the second office.
On submission, the friendly lady brought out a transfer form and filled my details for me. She also brought out the database of all polling centres in Lagos and told me to pick the one nearest to where I reside. I did and she stapled the online print out with the transfer form. I signed beneath the page and she tore the slip for me. That was all

She said I should come back in November with the slip to collect my new PVC. She also said I would be notified via text message when the card is ready.

My joy knew no bounds as I stepped out of INEC office – Alimosho Local Government. I’ve heard a lot about INEC and their slow process but today changed my orientation entirely. I didn’t pay a dime or bribe anybody. It was 100% free. In fact, I didn’t spend up to 15mins.
For as many that are in my shoes, you can now collect your PVC and transfer your polling unit without stress. Please visit the nearest INEC office today to get your PVC.

God bless Nigeria

Had similar experience.
I don't even have anything to show. All i did was to fill a form and upon my turn, they verified with the biometric. Then other documents were processed for me. It took 10mins.

Electric cars are cool. BUT I want you or anyone to explain one thing to me. I want to know how the AC system works in electric cars. Will there be a compressor driven by a belt like the normal ones we have around now? But then there is no engine to spin the compressor, will it be as effective as the reGular ac system? I hope you get what I m trying to ask.
Thank you.
It uses a compressor similar to that of household refrigerator. It draws it's power from the CAR AC inverter.
You can google for more info.

PoliticsThe Nigerian Media Mogul Who Helped Three Presidents Get Elected. by iabdullahi(op): 3:37pm On Oct 11, 2017
It would be a remarkable achievement for an entrepreneur of any age, but at just 31 years old, Nigerian Adebola Williams has already helped three presidential candidates to election victory.

As the founder of political communications agency StateCraft Inc, Williams worked on the campaign that got Goodluck Jonathan elected to the Nigerian presidency in 2011.
Four years later he provided his services for the successful election campaign for Jonathan's rival, current President Muhammadu Buhari.

Then, completing his hat trick, he worked on the communication strategies that helped secure the election of Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2016.

Now Williams has now co-written a book, "How to win elections in Africa," detailing his techniques.
So what's his advice for wining an African election? His strategy sounds simple: brush up the presidential candidate's image and, crucially, bolster his popularity among the youth.

Car TalkGomyway Is Shutting Down by iabdullahi(op): 9:29am On Sep 27, 2017
I got a mail from GoMyWay that they are closing down. Who else got this.

Hi,

I hope you are doing well. It is with deep regret that I write this email to let you know that GoMyWay will be closing down. In this email, I'll let you know why we are closing as well as offer an alternative service. I hope you take a few minutes to read.

In 2015, I was hired as the CEO, via recommendation by my previous employers, to run GoMyWay. The plan by its Shareholders/Investors was to run a free service for a year or two, and focus on growing the user-base.

Over the last 2 years, the team put in time and effort to growing the business and building a trusted ridesharing community. We went from less than 1000 members in the first few months to 12,000+ members; 106,630 rides offered and rides shared across 16 states. However, it does take a lot of resources to run this business and the initial plan was no longer sustainable. The Shareholders/Investors came to a conclusion to shut down operations and close the business as there were no funds to invest further.

I want to specially thank you for your support. I believe GoMyWay had the best community and I can write a few pages about it. We had users who spread the word about us even when we had no referral codes to give in return. I remember when Yinka visited a member and he had mentioned how everyone in his office now uses GoMyWay through him. We had users who were always available to share amazing ideas with us. It's no surprise that the second highest acquisition channel was referrals/word of mouth.

It does break our hearts to end this wonderful community; and although we did try to keep it going, but the team has now decided to keep the platform running till the end of October. From today, the signup page will no longer be accessible and customer support would also be winding down.

I'm so proud of everyone that worked on GoMyWay. The business was blessed to have the most dedicated and hardworking staff who put in more than their time into this. Some of our users have come in contact with our staff, so they know I am not exaggerating. Thank you Yinka, Favour, Segun, Ope, Ayo, Busayo, Doyin and all the contract staff and interns that worked with us. God bless you immensely.

Lastly, I felt it would be unfair to leave you and other users hanging with no alternative; so, if you are resident in Lagos and in need of an affordable ride to/from work, please check out the guys at Shuttlers who run an affordable shuttle service for professionals. If interested, fill out their form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSef_iWYRMNvDUBfFp0topz5QKTNCvUIL5gCByDt7EbkTR0SmA/viewform

Thank you very much; and please feel free to reply this email if you would like to reach me. I will try to reply to as many as possible.

With Love,

Damilola

To be sincere, the man was objective in everything he says. We need to ask questions and not judge based on prejudice and sentiments.
I don't like people who generalize everything and can't think outside the box.

The difference is there is nothing like super charger . There is no difference btween the charging point on the rd and the point at home either than pricing . They take same time but on street is cheaper . Cos it's subsidised by local council to encourage green energy
Guy i guess you need to do more research on the difference between super charging (fast charging) and charging at home. There's a huge difference and it's the Current(Amps) at which the super charger works. The average current rating for an average home is between 60Amps and 100Amps compared to super charger of higher than 100Amps. You can do the maths yourself and use a 70KWH battery. Its not rocket science.
Charging at home will definitely take longer time.

you can read more in this link.

PDPGuy:
The downside of the standard version, for some Nigerian buyers, is that it won't be able to drive from Lagos to Onitsha on a single charge
Bros. Why this route?
With the base model, it can go LAGOS-IBADAN and BACK TO LAGOS on a single charge provided that you have less run around in IBADAN and it will still have about 50km to spare.

@OP
The standard version can travel 354 kilometres on a single charge, and when charged for 30 minutes, it can travel for 209 kilometres.
This i guess you're referring to charging with supper charger. Cause, if you charge with the normal 13Amps socket like that we use at home, It will take more time.

Also @OP, the Topic is quite misleading. I think should be affordable not the cheapest. where is NISSAN LEAF, CHEVY BOLT and other smaller EVs.

@All
I think we should start looking at the direction of renewable clean energy. Tesla is not just a car manufacturing company but TECH company trying revolutionize the world(My opinion). They are majorly into renewable energy and space exploration. The EV is just part of their product.
