matrixme: What a stoupid plan! To wipe out 85% of forests and bushes in Nigeria for the monocropping of maize. Normally, I wouldn't have replied on a normal day, but this level of stUupidity is bewildering. Britain has about 2% of it's population directly involved in agriculture but is almost self-sustaining in food production through mechanized agriculture. Perhaps only tropical crops demand export. So we should leave other crops and focus on maize farming so we can start distributing to old people to roast on the road. Sounds like a good plan! Lol |

Johnjustice: The problems you mentioned are really not a problem, it's just federal government policy, if approved, it will make it work. Challenges are roads to cross to success. Stop thinking so lazily, Dubai created water out of desert. Most of the problems you highlighted can be handled, are you saying Nigerians are animals that can't use their head?
If the world is filled with pessimist we will still be in stone age. That your last line hit me💪💪💪 I love it |

Johnjustice: Agbado indeed can bring out millions of youths out of poverty. Tinubu is a genius, good post, good enlightenment for the ignorant bunch. Instead of breeding terrorists like Iswap, bokoharam and Iswap in our bushes, let us use it for maize production, maize can be a second oil, due to its many derivatives mentioned above, and we have good soil for maize, it grows easily, anywhere in Nigeria. Maize is a cash crop. Gbam |

Dbull on this one!!! Happy birthday Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu! Your regime will surely favour us all and I will also contribute my own quota as a top entertainer in your regime! Here is a thread I created earlier in commemoration of his birthday Titled: HOW WE CAN TURN "AGBADO" TO THE NEXT CRUDE OIL. https://www.nairaland.com/7631191/how-turn-agbado-next-crude |

The purpose of this write is to share my idea on how we can tackle the 4 major issue of the nigerian with one stone. The issues include insecurity, food security, bad economy and unemployment.
Agbado in nigeria, is the local name of popular food crop Maize and it was popularized by the president-elect of the federal republic of Nigeria. This has come under criticism here and there and I am here to shed more light on the hidden wealth that can be derived from the food crop as a graduate of Agriculture.
First off I will start off by listing things that can be derived from Agbado:
1.Direct consumption 2.Feed for chicken and other livestock. 3.Corn flakes 4.Pop corn 5.Golden Morn 6.Pap 7.Starch 8.Flour 9.Cereals 10.Masa/Egb`o and many more.
The first step we can take as a country is to employ 50 million youths The second step is procure 3600 tractors and give 100 each to each states. Then the government should ensure 75% to 85% of forest and bushes in Nigeria are cleared off, by doing this alone we have wiped out the hides out of Boko haram, Bandits, kidnappers and criminals in Nigeria and to some extent insecurity has been tackled. Then we embark on mass plantation of “AGBADO” (or other crops) While our “AGBADO” is growing, we start building companies for production of livestock feed, corn flakes, golden morn, starch, cereals etc. While our “AGBADO” is ready and harvested we can give it out for free to old people to roast at the roadside and sell for a subsidized amount. Then we distribute to various companies for their respective processing. Then we give those feeds from feed mill freely to livestock farmers to support them. Then the corn flakes, golden morn, pop corn made can be used to support the primary school feeding programs. The rest can be exported and revenue generated. And the list is endless.
I will love to get your feedback and opinion on this.
Note: This is not to solicit for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just some thoughts from an hungry mind. Not withstanding wishing our Agile president Elect a Beautiful Belated Birthday. Yours Truly Dbull
