cyberbro: I am always condemning those dealing drugs in India, but on this one, I will support this Igbo man. The story sounds fishy, cos we all know one man cannot beat 4 armed police men, so this shows they were trying to bully the man.
They couldn't find drugs on him, who knows if the officers were also trying to physically abuse him and he got angry in the process.
Anyways, as long as they didn't find drugs on him, I am happy. The police cannot just barge into someone's home without evidence, it's not proper. and all these in a foreign land? Can he try such in South Africa? |

Crime › Nigerian National Attacks Four Policemen During Drug Raid In India by iamfraud(op): 8:30pm On Oct 13, 2025 |
Mumbai: Chaos erupted in Nalasopara on Saturday after a drug raid took a violent turn, leaving four policemen and a civilian witness injured. The incident occurred when a team from the Tulinj police station, acting on a tip-off, raided the residence of Nigerian national Onyejesi Obum Kingley at Tara Basera Apartments, Pragati Nagar, Nalasopara east.
As the team entered his fourth-floor flat, the accused allegedly resisted and turned violent, attacking the raiding party. The civilian witness, who accompanied the team, bore the brunt of the assault as Kingley reportedly pinned him down, stood on his hand, and continued to thrash him.
The four police personnel sustained minor injuries and were administered first aid. Despite the search, no drugs were recovered from the premises. However, the accused was arrested for assaulting public servants and produced before the court on Sunday, which remanded him to police custody.
Kingley has been charged under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 132 (assault on a public servant), 117(2) (causing grievous hurt), 121(1) (voluntarily causing hurt to deter duty), 115(2) (causing hurt), 352 (provoking breach of peace), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), and 131 (assault or criminal force).
A senior officer from Tulinj police confirmed the incident, stating, "No drugs were recovered, but our panch witness and four police staff were assaulted during the operation." https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mumbai/mumbai-nigerian-national-attacks-four-policemen-during-drug-raid-in-nalasopara/articleshow/124531768.cms

In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police seized 523 grams of cocaine worth ₹5.23 crore from Santacruz (East) early Saturday morning. A Nigerian national has been arrested in connection with the seizure.
According to officials, the operation took place around 4:15 a.m. on October 11, 2025. A police patrolling team noticed a man standing suspiciously on the footpath outside Diamond Ayva Hostel on Hansmukh Road, Vakola. Acting promptly, the officers called independent witnesses (panchas) to the spot and conducted a search.
During the inspection, the team found a white nylon bag in the man’s possession containing 523 grams of cocaine packed in a transparent press-lock plastic pouch. A senior officer said that a field test was conducted using a special detection kit, and the powder turned light blue upon chemical testing, confirming it to be cocaine.
Based on a formal complaint filed by Police Constable Amol Salunkhe, the Bandra Unit of the ANC registered an offense under Sections 8(c) and 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 against the accused, identified as Nsude Chimaobi Igwesi (30). He has been taken into custody for further investigation.
