Iamheretolearn:I remember the kind words of encouragement a parent once told me, and I would like to temper justice with mercy. To all my fellow educators out there who might be feeling burnt out or frustrated, I urge you to also temper justice with mercy because we owe it to ourselves, our students, and the nation to continue to inspire, motivate, and shape the future leaders of tomorrow. Let's focus on doing our job with our best efforts.

Freshandfitpod:It seems you under estimate what Teachers (especially Gen z teachers) can do to the future leaders placed in their hands. If you fail to do your job at home, sorry is your name. Only a foolish Teacher wouldn't be able to differenciate a job from a charity . When a Teacher's outstanding impact is being rewarded with peanuts, and he doesn't reduce his efforts ,they think that is how all teachers are wired(Not all teachers , especially Gen Z Teachers o). Small pay = Small impact More pay = More impact It is a job. It is meant to pay our bills. Let me shock you some graduate Teachers still earn 20k for 20 days(4 weeks or 1 month) in this 2025 economy but if you see what these teachers are doing in the lives of these children, you will not want the efforts of these teachers to go without being fully rewarded. What are we going to live on in old age, if our salaries can't even feed us well now? You think Gen z Teachers will suffer what the older Teachers suffered? The society will suffer (decay) too. Don't dare these gen Zs. Our efforts as Educators(creche to university) once reduced, would be noticed in the society in less than a week. Is teaching now an automatic ticket to heaven where you claim the reward is? |
FriendsAndFans:Passion without reward. Passion that is not rewarded even when its impact is everlasting . Will passion pay our health needs? Will passion replace the lost energy? Will passion pay our rents ? Will passion build houses for us? Will passion take care of our families etc? When our passion is not rewarded how do you expect us to do the above. Reward passion and see how some creative teachers would create many fun, inspiring activities to keep the Future Leaders engaged even on Sundays. Lastly, we are not all Doctors We are not all Lawyers. We are not all Pastors. We are not all Teachers. Everyone has his own area of specialization . |
Stephenmouka:What do you mean? What do you mean? I'm sure you have a teacher you remember everyday in your heart who shaped your life.True or false |
Fellow Nigerians, I am a teacher, and I am speaking out because I am unhappy with how teachers are treated. We are not paid well, and people don't respect us like we deserve. So, I'm making a change. From now on, I will only do my job according to the amount I am paid. If I'm not given the pay or respect I deserve, I won't put in extra effort. I want other teachers to join me. Let's show the country that teachers matter. Think about it, if all teachers from Creche to University dropped their tools, where would the doctors, lawyers, engineers, and other professionals come from? If we don't teach them well, our society will decay, and crime will be everywhere. And when that happens, they will come looking for professional teachers to fix the mess. To our leaders, I say: if you want good doctors, lawyers, and leaders, you need to support teachers. We're the ones shaping the future. If you value lives, pay doctors and treat them well. They have their own lives to care for. If they wait for patients to die before begging doctors, teachers should reduce their efforts and work according to how much they are paid and let the society decay, so they would see a need to value the education sector. If you value your children's future treat teacher's well.We spend time with them than you do and can let many wrong things they learn at home to go uncorrected and make them see those wrong things as normal by being silent. Teachers, if you don't show you worth something(that you are the Future Leaders builder), our value would never be seen. Reduce your efforts and work according to your salary and see how the society would decay fast and see how they would come begging for your services. Let's work together to make Nigeria a better place. #SupportTeachers #QualityEducation |
Kobojunkie:Well said! Especially the shared interest and extraordinary bonds point . However,I didn't understand your last sentence. Can you shed more light as to what you meant? |
I have some people I called friends that do not return visits or hardly call or don't call at all to check up on me but I consistently went to visit them and check up on them to see how they are faring. I have told them that their habit of not reciprocating visits is an act of lack of concern about my welfare but they haven't changed. I decided to snub them because they would add no value to my personality with their lack of concern about my welfare by never calling to check up on me or visiting me. Would you keep a friendship going if the other person doesn't change their behavior after you've expressed your feelings? |

What class rules can a primary school teacher give to her pupils to ensure the class runs smoothly? E.g No playing when classes are going on. |

Someone posted a picture of the below person in half shoe and polo etc. saying that is how he dressed for an event in Kenya.I guess that was is how he looked before the main event. I decided to check for myself on the net about the person and I saw the picture he took at the same event. You shouldn't break the bank to look good but always appear appropriately for each event. Interviews, dates etc. I was once given a higher position in an organization because of how i appeared for the interview. Every event has an appropriate attire for it. You can't wear a Turkish suit for a traditional wedding etc. This is the link to the picture the person posted on nairaland. https://www.nairaland.com/8290547/see-how-founder-former-ceo
