I remember under Mourhino at Madrid Modric was benched by di maria, he was almost leaving then, Ancelotti was appointed, he started benching Di Maria for Modric. Football is like that, not every player work in all tactics. For example, someone like Zyech can’t move the ball for long without spamming those his usual crosses, he disrupt tuchel’s tactics most times with his eager to cross even when he has space to run or beat his marker.
