Jobs/VacanciesI Need Advice On A Suspected Fake Job Interview by Iamjobless(op): 8:48am On Feb 21
please kindly ignore typos and grammar.

Two weeks ago, my sister applied for a job at a beauty clinic and she was called for interview a day later. unfortunately she could not attend the interview as she was told that the interview was the next day and she is not based in Lagos. Barely two days later, she was contacted again to come for a rescheduled interview. Unfortunately, the same thing happened.

Fast foward to today, she was contacted again that the interview has been scheduled for Monday.
While this presents an opportunity, it starts raising suspicion about the validity of the interview as a fake one.
Because I have never seen a case where a candidate will be given two opportunities to come and interview. And with the situation in the country, where many fake interviews are organised kust to kidnap the victim, I need your advice.

the organisation is located in Lekki, Lagos State.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Aunty Wants To Quit Her Job by Iamjobless(op): 10:22pm On Jan 09, 2024
Hopez456:
One of her family members or relatives (mum or aunt) to stay with them. Her hubby's family too can help.
Thank you for the response.
Currently all the husband's and wife's siblings are working in different states and all efforts to convince either of the two grandmothers to help out has failed.

Pls pardon all errors.

I will try and keep this short, I have an aunty who works with one of the FG parastatals but she is contemplating on resigning. Reasons being:
1) the transport fare takes more than 50% of her monthly earnings as the distance between her house and workplace is far (ikorodu to CMS)
2) due to the distance she does not have the time to take care of her children as she has to leave very early and return late at night.

Ever since she told me, I tried to convince her to just hold on as i strongly believe that the minimum payment will be reviewed soon which will address the issue of salary but she stated that my solution does not address the other challenge of negligence of children.

Please i need advice on what she can do to get to work faster amd return home faster

Also, the husband is a business man that owns a business in the CMS area, I will be in the comments.

Wawu. If this guy gets a good lawyer, he will not be making prop guns again. Sue the Hell out of the police, get paid in millions and travel out of Naija to study filmmaking properly in Europe.
Doubt the police force will pay any compensation of any kind,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Should I Go For M.Sc Or A Level 12 Job In A Private University? by Iamjobless(op): 7:01pm On Sep 16, 2021
Tried to modify the post, but couldn't

Thanks so much guys.
I think I should add some info.

Firstly, The job is a Non academic Job and I only used level 12 so that just to portray the rank where I am going to start, (don't know the the system of grade level in use not sure they use CONTISS).
Secondly on the part of experience, during my service year, I was posted to Federal University where I was tasked with assisting a woman that acts in similar role also I acted in similar position for 2-3 months when the woman in charge was sick because the University was short staffed. Also my combined work experience before and during University is running to 13 years
Thirdly : I possess at least 10 professional qualifications that I think gives me an edge
Fourth point : I have added advantage (pls don't ask me about this advantage, pls)
Jobs/VacanciesShould I Go For M.Sc Or A Level 12 Job In A Private University? by Iamjobless(op): 8:13pm On Sep 15, 2021
Will be very brief and I pray this reaches the front page.
I graduated in the year 2019 from one of the foremost Universities in Nigeria, did my NYSC but after that I have been applying for job all to no avail.

During my job search, I applied for a job in a private University in February, after much delay, we did Examination in June and interview in July, I was picked as I have seen my name on the list of successful canadidate. The job is very OK and working environment superb and with a moderate salary and virtually no stress
But the thing, I have strong passion for my course, I have even applied for M. SC(1 year) in another University just to gain more knowledge, already have thesis topic and everything that I will need all through, I have already initiated how to japa through study abroad once I finish my course, now I am scared, like really scared because if the plan doesn't work out, then I will be losing a very good opportunity.

Note : I can't study my M. SC in that university because they do not have the department and equipments
