Over the past few months, one thing has become very clear: Skilled work is in high demand across Nigeria, but many people are still underestimating it. Every day, people are looking for: Plumbers Electricians AC technicians Carpenters Generator repairers Not occasionally — consistently. The interesting part is that, the demand is not just coming from homes anymore. Small businesses, offices, and even short-term rentals now need these services regularly. But here’s the gap: A lot of skilled workers are still relying on: - Word of mouth - Personal contacts - “Who knows you” Meanwhile, people who need these services are struggling to find reliable options. That disconnect is where the opportunity is. Some platforms are starting to structure this space better, for example, platforms like Wakafixam are trying to make it easier for: - People to find service providers - Skilled workers to access jobs more consistently Beyond platforms, the bigger takeaway is this: If you’re considering learning a skill in Nigeria today, you’re not late — you’re early. The demand is already there. What’s changing now is how people connect to that demand. |

How To Start A Career In Digital Marketing And Land Your First Job As A Beginner With No Experience ( No Degree Needed) Since the pandemic began, Many have lost their source of livelihood, and getting a job has become even more difficult. But there's one industry that keeps balling(continues to grow at a fast pace) irrespective of what's happening. If you are not actively involved in this industry yet, I will have to ask you the question I asked my friend Nduka in July 2020, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?". Anyways, The good new though is that Its not too late to jump in and join the party. I remembered back then in school before i graduated, my "rich" uncles promised me heaven and earth, I don't know if they thought I would remain an under-graduate forever. After graduation, I quickly found out that all those promises where "YIMU" empty, nobody had plans for me. it was all man for himself, I had to do something about my life and finances without my uncles. I am sure some of us can relate, "story of our lives". You get to that point in your life where it seems like you are in the middle of a big pool and the only options you have is to swim or drawn. Some of us have recovered from this experience, some are currently in this phase of their life, while some others have never recovered. I overcame my disappointment from my promisers by leveraging some of the digital skills, which I will share here. I'm going to show you how to start a career in digital marketing and grow both your knowledge, salary or income(if you are looking to start a side hustle).
