Goodday sir, kindly tell me the meaning of this vision

1. I saw myself standing with some opened 50kg bags of rice in front of me, a huge crowd was in front of me and I was using a deep plate to measure raw rice for them one after the other, some got theirs with nylon, some with a sack etc

2. I dream frequently but have only seen a vision may be once or twice in my entire life, the last one was probably 10 years ago..... the above revelation came as a vision, is there any reason for that?

Thanks in advance sir

Is anybody still investing in TBills through GTBank or am the only person that haven't crossed over to another bank yet?

18.1% for 364 days again!!!
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by iamoasa: 11:24pm On Mar 16, 2017
Guys pls enlighten me on what could be happening with GTB TB calculations, Feb 15th auction I submitted a bid of 18.12% for 364 days, CBN stop rate was 18.4495% so I won the bid but from my calculations GTB gave me rate of about 17.95%

18.12% - 17.95% = 0.17%. I lost 43,010 Naira

For yesterday's auction March 16th I asked them to use their stop rate cos of this new 50m stuff, they debited me today and gave me breakdown that they did 18% 364 days for me in secondary market. Again from my calculations the rate they gave me comes down to 17.95% or so instead of the 18% they quoted for me, on this one I lost 10,860 Naira

In both cases they debited their fees/charges etc in 2 different transactions and I considered all that in my calculations but the more I calculate it the less I understand

Just got an alert of N16350 from First Bank on the 500k investment in NTB for 91days.

That's approx 13.1%, not too bad in my opinion

I was just told that no more TB unless one has 50m + to spend, can one still transact TB but instead just ask for the bank rate instead as someone mentioned this earlier.

Yes you should be able to, here is the mail I got from GTB

Good day sir,

Trust you had a splendid weekend.

There is a new circular regulating Treasury Bill. Customer’s bidding at THEIR OWN RATE must tender a minimum bid of above N50 Million.

Please advice if we should proceed with your request
at bank's advised rate.

Regards,

I got an email from GTB that they will process my request at the next auction. Anybody got a similar email?

@feelamong. Please I need your help. I sent my bid for 364 days at my rate of 18.39% with Gtbank and my account officer told me that my bid failed at that rate. Please what do you think about this. Stop rate yesterday was 18.449%. He was saying crab about bank having to make profit and all those stuffs. From all I could get is that, GTB bids at a higher rate and sell to its customers at a lower rate in order to make their own profit off your money. So anything higher than their rate won't be submitted because they don't make money off it. Please any Gtbank debit higher than 17.9% should comment. Thanks

My bid with GTB was successful, I went for 18.12% 364 days tenor.

The only issue is that I requested that they should invest my interest paid upfront too but they didn't invest my interest.

Has anybody invested the upfront interest through GTB b4?

I just got debited from GTB too

Have been debited too, although GTB did not invest my upfront interest yet as requested, hopefully they will debit me for that too

I did that the auction before this one , the rates were little bit close to the cbn rate

Thanks for the response, can you explain the process of going through the secondary market to me pls? Still wondering why there is no response from my account officer still

House, has anybody ever invested in Treasury Bill through secondary market @GTB? My bid was not successful on Feb 1st and I emailed my account officer about what's available in secondary market no response from her since

I think the most important info to look out for on monday/tuesday is if the CBN would conduct any OMO!

Once OMO is done, this fear of excess liquidity and drop in rates would be removed...

Let's also look at the secondary markets trades come monday/tuesday...it will show d direction of d markets

Where can someone get the current rate in the secondary market pls?
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by iamoasa: 3:13pm On Jan 05, 2017
People!!! Quick question pls, I know that interest is paid upfront in Treasury Bill, if my bid is successful, will the interest be invested together with the capital automatically OR do I need to state that in my letter to the bank that I want both the capital and interest to be invested?

If u have sufficient info u can use ur rate. Their last rate for 91days was 13.7 but I went with 13.8.

Thanks guys for the responses.

I have another question pls, I know that interest is paid upfront in Treasury Bill, if my bid is successful , will the interest be invested together with the capital automatically OR do I need to state that in my letter to the bank that I want both the capital and interest to be invested?

House I have a question pls, I want to invest in treasury Bill, I bank with GTBANK, is it advisable to let the bank bid for me at GTBANK stop rate or state my rate?
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by iamoasa: 10:14pm On Dec 19, 2016
Please if I want to choose my rate by using the previous rate, do I go by the marginal rate or the true yield rate posted on the CBN website? CBN website posts marginal rates and true yield rate for each term

munezo:

I believe it is better to choose your own rate than leave it at the mercy of your bank. If you know the previous stop rate, then you can bid at a little below it.

My personal investment philosophy is to always put money I will not need for a long time, so I always go for 364 days.

When I started my project last year , I never knew that I could come up with the capital to get it up to this stage, but after I saw this thread I was really inspired and my house has just been roofed last week . May God bless us all.

Congratulation bro, God will help you to finish it up, do you mind sharing how much it cost you to roof your house?

Properties / Arepo, Ogun State Folks Lets Rub Mind On Building Material Prices by iamoasa: 3:42pm On Mar 05, 2013
Hi guys,

I just got a land at Arepo, Ogun State and I am about to start building.

Here is a list of building material prices I got today at Arepo, if you are familiar with the area or if you have a project going on there kindly let me have your input on the price list

Block 9" = N130
block 6" = N120
dangote cement = N1750
sharp sand 20 ton = 48,000
granite 30 ton = 120,000
16mm iron = 115,000
12mm iron = 115,000
10mm iron = 120,000

Just to name a few, the reason am getting worried is this, my brother is building a house at Ajah and some of the prices he gave me he is getting his material for at Ajah is actually lower that what I just quoted above, in my own opinion people usually say building material is more expensive at Ajah.
