Christianity Etc › Trend Amongst Christians by iamord(op): 9:29am On Dec 21, 2014*. Modified: 2:53pm On Dec 21, 2014 |
There has been a particular trend going on amongst Christian denominations in the country for a while now.. Its becoming alarming that I have to ask what is really going on!? I have noticed that, it has now become a yearly ritual that people feel so attached to the new year G.Os prophetic visions that if they don't hear it, its like their whole year will have no meaning, that disaster and negatives will follow them all through the year... it has now turned into the new 12 month calendar, you see people rushing for calendars, new year stickers , new year holy water and all sorts.. also the ritual to usher ones self into the new year known as cross over night, individuals feel that if they don't go for cross over night , there will be no blessings for the new year for them to enjoy, my own opinion is that there is no happy new year, if there is no happy new you! You can't keep entering the new year like someone dipped in water over and over again, I feel staying at home, thanking God for seeing me through and reminiscing on how the year went , what I did right and wrong , and to strategize, so as to have a better and fulfilled year. This is what matters to me, its not until I hear prophecy that I won't be caught unawares by an impending disaster or my year will be bright all through. I need your views on this. |

EVarn: *raises eyebrow*,have you now? lol.. I keep saying it that a lot of nigerians have misconceptions about ghana . Ghana has had radio-isotopes experiments conducted in university of ghana as far back as 1950 and had a nuclear reactor since 1964 known as Kwabenya Nuclear Reactor. which has been functioning till date and in an isolated area.. The country has scientist that have been trained in that field . The overthrow of kwame nkrumah is what thwarted the efforts of ghana going nuclear as far back as 1960s.. And also the fact that the akosombo hydro electric dam potential was so great that there was little need for nuclear energy as a source of electricity |

EVarn: the reward is miniscule compared to the risk that will be taken..i wouldnt advice ghana to establish nuclear power reactors yet,it is better not to get ahead of one's self when it comes to develepment....nuclear power is high unstable and volatile, anything ranging from a full scale tornado to a match-stick could spell doom for ghana and its immediate neighbours. ghana has had a nuclear reactor |

This jews Is sad a lot of blacks are so brainwashed as to look at them with high esteem and believe everything from there .. Am not new to this .. And I see their patterns. Instead of blacks to device ways to overthrow the world order with allies .. They are helping to keep them in power.. Shorr |

major466: My major concern here is security. With the rise of terrorism in West and East Africa, venturing into Nuclear power will be a high risk project that could jeopardize security on the entire continent. The biggest security challenge faced by Pakistan today is not really the fight against Taliban, but making sure Taliban fighters never, in anyway have access to nuclear materials. Can you imagine what will happen if terrorist lay their filthy hands on nuclear materials? It will be a major disaster. you have a strong point here. Of which am sure that the stake holders are also concerned with those factors . Its a very unstable region.. However the process is not immediate so we will watch as it unfolds.. But I know that the ghana army will stand to protect the facility the best way they came.. It call for serious planning |

major466: Bad. This is bad. I do not support the idea of an African country going Nuclear even for peaceful purposes. This is dangerous. [b]Ghana should forget about it and venture into power generation through gas instead[b]. venture into gas What has ghana been using the gas from the wagp for There is nothing without risk. Even the planes you enter today were once a death trap that majority of the planes used by the british in world war 1 crashed before take off.. Am sure if it were a black man.. He would have discarded the idea of making of making planes. Same goes to every other field.. Ghana is not a new comer in the nuclear industry as there has been a nuclear Rector in the country right from the 60s.. The stake holders know the risk involved as well as the governing body. |

CSTR: A mere 700MW? Gullible nation governed by idiotts. I doubt such project would see the light of day. Nigeria already had IAEA approval since the OBJ govt. I just hope they don't finally get to build the damn thing one day. I don't want anything nuclear around me. hi hater! Your opinion does not count. If you even die in your country today the impact won't be felt |

PetroDolla3: did you read the article? it said IAEA had already granted approval. Ghana has had an active nuclear programme since 1958. The country's forward thinking leader Kwame Nkrumah established the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission since 1958 I have some of his visions for ghana and africa. In pdf and written form.. All I can say is wow!! |

diluminati: Good work Ghana but where naija dey now? dem still dey find company wey wan privatise the company wey privatize the company wey privatize phcn. set of dumb govt. was glad to hear the news. You know ghana has been on this nuclear program for over 40 years .. Nkrumah had sent ghanaian scientist to train in the soviet union and germany.. If not for his over throw and the successive governments abandoning some of his visions .. Ghana would have gone far in technological advancement . Well its good that they have finally been giving the go ahead. |

Natasha2: Yeah I do cos I've had those moments and when it happens normally I just hibernate, no one gets to hear from me at all. Its good to know you guys are still friends. And no its not my first time its gonna be the third and I'm really hopeful about it, cos the guy in question has been my best friend for a very long time, he knows almost everything about me, from my very first relationship. We've had our fights, our split ups, our happy moments, love and all, Its actually wonderful dating him, but part of me is scared, cos if anything happens I'll not just loose my partner, I'll loose my best friend and confidant. Oh did I mention we met here on Nairaland wow!! That's nice,! The guy must be lucky to have someone like you , its only normal to be scared, its a plus that u two have known each other for quite a while.. Just clear your doubts and insecurities, trust him,but at the same time use your heart and not your head and to will be good to go! |

Suzyky4u: These people relegated their women to the background real bad. Check out age differences b/w husband and wife na, only the women were unclad, even the boys sef wear cloth while their mama no wear. Check out the class room na, all boys! This thing no start today o. u have a point.. But what matters is that what has been done to address it since independence.. Little.. That's why a lot of negative norms of the society habe escalated |

GooseBaba: You keep exposing the foolishness of your god..
Answer simple question "what did your god do with 32 virgins " instead you are trying to link african science with arabian super story...
Then you posted a link that shows the chosen people of your god that went to war because their fellow isrealites wanted to rape a man, but after persuasion they decided to rape a young woman to death.
They were angry because a concubine that belongs to one of theirs was raped to death, and your god bless them in battle. But they see nothing wrong in kidnapping other people's daughters and raping them in the name of marriage..
It shows Yahweh and allah have no respect for women folks.. They are vultures of the same madness.
Smh.... Meanwhile, death to Islam and Christianity in Nigeria ashe..!! honest guy. U did not sugar coat anything |
