Looking at it from a different angle, assuming Patterson got shot, the Dr will be on the run. He'll head back to go meet Shepherd. Together they'll plot for Jane.

If her brother Roman dies, then she'll have to return to the FBI and tell them what happened, and seeking their protection too. If he doesn't die, They might run somewhere to start a new life. Remember she told him that's what she wanted them to do just before she wiped his memory.

I have this odd feeling about Naz, there's something about her that's not right. Something she's hiding.

I don't think so, considering the fact that she still blames her self for David's death, they would not want to let her be the killer.

So I think Patterson will be the one that gets shot but somehow she will survive it while Dr. Borden will escape to meet with Shepard and use the intels he has on the FBI to become the bad ass villain.

Since the show is still young they need a familiar face as Shepard's second in command now that Roman is out abx and Borden will fit that

As for Jane, I think she will try and leave behind sandstorm and the FBI so as to start a new life with her brother whose memory has now been wiped but since she's the major heroin of the story, she won't be able to go so far before she is brought back into the triangle
