10:Naked mole rat: The mole rat lacks pain sensitivity in its skin, and has very low metabolic and respiratory rates . While formerly considered to belong to the same family as other African mole-rats, the Bathyergidae , more recent investigation places the naked mole-rat in a separate family, Heterocephalidae.[7][8][9] The mole rat is also remarkable for its longevity and its resistance to cancer and oxygen deprivation .

9: Blobfish: Don't let the blobfish's permanent, miserable scowl fool you: it's actually a pretty harmless creature. Endemic to the deep waters off of mainland Australia, the blobfish is comprised mainly of gelatinous flesh. Due to the low density of its flesh, the innocuous blobfish floats leisurely near the ocean floor, quietly gobbling down small crustaceans and other edible matter that floats into its mouth. According to NOAA , that's about all it can do -- it has very little muscle, so actively hunting prey is nearly impossible. The shocking little creature grows to be approximately a foot long. Because they live at such deep depths, there is very little information about the population of blobfish. Some experts, however, fear that the fish could be facing extinction: according to writer Michael Hearst, the blobfish is commonly the victim of bycatch from seafloor trawlers. 1 Like

8: Angler fish: Anglerfish are named for their characteristic mode of perdition, wherein a fleshy growth from the fish’s head (the esca) acts as a lure. Anglerfish also have spines protruding from their head, movable in all directions. The esca can be wiggled so as to resemble a prey animal, and thus to act as bait to lure other predators. Deep-sea anglerfish live mainly in the oceans’ aphotic zones, where the water is to deep for the sun to penetrate; therefore their perdition relies on the “lure” being bioluminescent. Since individuals are presumably locally rare and encounters doubly so, finding a mate is problematic. When scientists first started capturing ceratioid anglerfish, they noticed that all of the specimens were females. These individuals were a few inches in size and almost all of them had what appeared to be parasites attached to them. It turned out that these “parasites” were the remains of male ceratioids

7: Star - nosed mole: Named for its multifunctional and very strangely shaped nose, the star nosed mole is one of nature's most interesting creatures. Star nosed moles are known for having underdeveloped eyes and using their star-shaped noses as their main sensory organ. These noses have eleven tentacles that are believed to act similarly to the whiskers of other creatures and contain over 25 thousand sensory organs (they're named "Elmer's Organs" for the scientist who first observed them). Although it looks like they don't have much of a head, if you look close you can see the tiny little eyes that don't see very well.

3: Platypus : A semi aquatic Animal. The Platypus is mammal endemic to eastern Australia. It is one of the five mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to their young ones live. The appearance of this egg laying duck billed mammal baffled naturalists. It is one of the few venomous Mammals. The male has a splur on its hind leg that secretes poisons capable of causing severe pain to a full- grown man. It is featured on the reverse of the Australian 20 cent coin

This list doesn't focus on Animal 'ugliness' but on their strange and unusual character. Some of these Animals have been around for centuries but may be new to you. Of course it's hard to just choose 10 out of thousands of weird Animals in the world so be sure to mention yours. 1: Frill necked lizard: This Lizard also called frilled Dragon is so named because of the large ruff of skin folded back against its neck. When it's frightened the animal opens its mouth to reveal a yellow lining and the Frill flares out. The Animal runs on all fours but can also run with just it's hind leg when it's frightened

Only Messi and Ronaldo are paid “after tax” salaries apart from them all players have normal before tax contracts. These salary numbers also include some performance claused bonuses and incentives and real salaries might be lower that what are quoted in the media. When Ronaldo signed this deal Barcelona also facilitated Messi with a new financially improved contract back in 2014 which will keep the star at Camp Nou till 2018. His new contract will earn him as much as £275,000 a week after tax. That is €20 million a year (£14.5 million) and this is after tax numbers making him second highest paid player in the world behind Cristiano Ronaldo. These two are in league of their own both on the pitch and off it as well. They have highly lucrative endorsement deals almost doubling their yearly incomes. |
