Hey guys! I just called UKVI and was told a decision was made on my application yesterday they didn't tell me the outcome as usual but I should get a decision mail today and hopefully collect my passport after the holidays on Wednesday. I had my biometrics on the 21st of July so anyone with a similar timeline should try and call the UKVI.

Hi! I am new to this platform could you please explain the escalation process to me. It's been 28days since I submitted my application and I want to send them a mail to maybe speed up my application..... Thanks in anticipation.

My tier 4 visa timeline:

Biometrics: July 13
Sheffield email : July 20
Escalation : Aug 15
TLS mail that decision has been made: Aug 25 8:27am
TLS mail for collection : Aug 25 @ 05:49pm
Ukvi website update : Aug 25 (app decided on Aug 22)
Standard app at Ikeja

I picked up my tier 4 visa today...

[send a copy of the refusal to the international admissions office of your school. Their immigration department will let you know if you have a strong case for review]

You could use your personal statement or that of a sponsor. They won't expect you to have a lot of cash in it since you're a student. Just make sure the statement shows you have enough cash for your return ticket, accommodation & other little expenses you will incure while in the US. It would be nice if the statement shows you'd still have a little money left when you're back in the UK because they don't expect you to spend all your savings on the trip

I had my interview and biometrics on the 21st of July. Location: Victoria Island. Application type: standard
I am yet to receive the decision mail but they did send a mail to tell me my application would take longer than the normal 15 working days.
