If someone's previous (expired) passport is now lost, will the person have to include a police report in a subsequent application for a tier 4 visa?
Note: the person now has a new valid passport.

rvd475: Hi guys, Question: Tier 4 general and dependent can apply on the same day/together? I'm applying for Msc, from outside U.K and planning to submit my application to vfs in October, say Oct 15th. Can my spouse too apply on the same date? I have been hearing that dependent can only apply when the tier 4 general applicant has arrive to the U.K. Please can someone help to clear my confusion?
Many thanks in advance!! I think dependents can apply once the main applicant gets a visa or after he/she submits an application |

[quote author=thekid123 post=60429315]In 2013 I was refused a visa due to an error by the ECO. I appealed and was subsequently issued a visa. Do I put this down as a visa refusal in the section where it asks for any previous visa refusals? Thanks in advance[/qmuote]
No you dont have to since the refusal was reversed |

Iamtomilade: Got to immigration at Birmingham where there was a long queue when it was my turn I went to the border control officer who only asked for my cas and passport. He then asked the name of my school and the course I'll be studying..... He didn't ask for ihs receipt and tuberculosis test result. No questions about accommodation, bank statements, and all other questions they normally ask. Students arriving at other airports like Heathrow may be subject to intense questioning...... I pray everyone gets their visas soon |

MissKayD: Thanks. On the pages you mentioned, I wrote the maintenance required which is £9135. Whereas, my account balance is actually more than that. Am I meant to write my account balance there or the required maintenance funds?
Please help clarify. No need to write your account balance cos they'd check themselves |

Iamtomilade: I'd be posting tier 4 frequently asked interview sample questions for those that are yet to go for their interviews. Why do you want to study in the uk? What are the benefits of studying in the UK compared to your home country or USA/Canada/Australia? Why did you choose this university or college? How did you find out about it? Which other universities have you considered? Where is the university located? Do you know anyone who has already studied there? Do you know roughly how large the university is? Why did you choose this course and how does it relate to your previous study? How do you explain the gaps in your study /professional history? What is the relevance of the course to your future career prospects? What qualifications will you receive? How long does your course last? How is your chosen course assessed? Do you know what level your course is at? Did you consider any other universities /course (s) Does this course offer any professional recognition? Are you planning to stay in the UK on completion to study for a higher award? What facilities are you expecting at your university? |

Iamtomilade: 1. Check your cas...you'd find "latest date a student can be accepted on to the course" it should be under course start and end date.....meanwhile you should get a letter from your school saying you were given an extension and so you can apply for a visa even though your course started September 5.
2.there is no need to include anything like that....just get a letter from your dad stating you are his son and the funds in his account will be available to you for your studies in the UK (Letter of financial support) you can also add his birth certificate or international passport data page if he has one. Or any form of document to show that he's indeed your father. Meanwhile you should pay for priority so you would meet up with the "lastest date a student can be accepted on to the course" |

donbreeezy: I hail everyone in the house... @justwise well done sir! Please I need clarification on these;
1. I just received my CAS yesterday and the course start date is September 5th which was about 3days ago. Have you ever seen or heard of such? I want to apply for priority visa today, will this date affect my visa outcome??
2. I was also advised before the CAS issuance to include a letter that indicates the origin of the funds in my father's account and that the fund is his when applying for visa. I hope this is not strange..

Just found out this evening that I was awarded the ptdf scholarship. My dilemma is what do I do now? Would I have to withdraw my current ongoing application and re-apply for a student visa?
Please how long would it take for me to get back my passport if I have to withdraw my application?
