The Rivers State Police Command said it foiled an armed robbery operation in Port Harcourt. CP. Musa Kimo, the Rivers State Police Commissioner said this while addressing pressmen in Port Harcourt displaying the corpse of the slain armed robber, firearms and vehicles recovered from the operation.

“On 18/04/2014 at about 10:30 am, Following an information that a Toyota Venza snatched at gun point three days ago was sighted along Psychiatric road, Port Harcourt, teams of policemen quickly mobilized, trailed and engaged the the vehicles occupants in a gun duel. “One of the hoodlums was fatally wounded while one AK 47 rifle, six magazines, 270 rounds of 7.62 live ammunition and thirteen pieces of objects suspected to be dynamite.
Five different brands of vehicles were also recovered. They are, Lexus Jeep RX 300 ash colour No. Rivers KRK 957 BX, Toyota Highlander ash colour No. Rivers AHD 159 SJ, Toyota Venza green colour No. Rivers NCH 262 ST, Toyota Lexus RX 300 grey colour No. Lagos LSR 957 DU and Toyota Corolla ash colour No. Abuja ABC 433 VH. “The hoodlums outing appeared to be an orchestrated but failed plan to carry out a bank robbery. Investigation is going with a view of arresting the fleeing hoodlums.”
In a related development, the Commissioner of Police said, “on 17/04/2016 on a tip off form a patriotic citizen, teams of policemen raided criminals hideout at Umoda Aluu and arrested one Chima Nnorum. Items recovered from the hide out include two AK 47 rifles, four magazines, 31 rounds of 7.62 live ammunition and a Lexus jeep 300 No. Abuja SARS ABU 295 DW.”

Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari yesterday flagged off her pet project tagged “Project Future Assured” at Ikom township stadium, Cross River State, with the commissioning of Primary Health Centres. Mrs Buhari hailed Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade for providing an enabling environment for the maternal new born and child health week to kick off. She also commended Mrs Linda Ayade for launching her foundation. “I will like to commend the Governor of Cross River State, Pro. Ben Ayade for providing a conducive environment for the official flag off of MNCH week and also congratulate his beautiful wife, Dr. Lynda Ayade for initiating the Meditrix Foundation. I wish her success in her new role as maternal and child health Ambassador in Cross River State.”

The President’s wife was accompanied by wives of governors of Ebonyi, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, among others.

She reiterated the Federal Government’s desire of bringing quality health care services closer to the people at the grassroots which is the “primary reason for the establishment of one primary healthcare centre in each political ward across the country”

Last week, some men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, stormed the farmland of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olu Falae, killing a security guard during their attack. The security guard named Dele Ige said to be a member of the Oodua’s Peoples Congress, had queried the intrusion of the herdsmen on Falae’s Ilado farmland when he was attacked and then killed. Mavin Records star Di’Ja has now gone more than a month since she last shared a new photo of herself from head to toe.
The singer, believed to be in her 30s, held a secret marriage that was neither confirmed or denied by her management in December 2015.
Reports in February claims she is with the child. Di’Ja also didn’t deny the report and her social media is doing little to dispel the rumor. Her Instagram now unusually contains promotional pictures, old photoshoots and shout out unlike how it used to be before when she shared real time makeup photos and new hairdo.

Time will tell if she is really pregant. Di’Ja might be bent on
