BusinessRe: Why Many Hardworking Nigerians Are Still Struggling Financially by ibechris(m):
Ovieemmanuel:
Even if you work 24hours how much is the take home in Nigeria ? 200k, 350k some 150, 100, how can you be rich with this kind salary ? Even 500k is not enough.
If u don't have additional income by way of investing and setting aside something from ur salary on a monthly basis until it becomes a handful...u can never get ahead in this life

Many people do not understand the power of gradual savings and investing. If u expect to make it very big, honestly u will never make it.

I started with small salary of 45k in 2012,I continued until my salary got to 78k net and I left that job and moved to another job where my salary was even far less, that is about 53k just because it's a secured job. Now,I earn 280k gross which is still very small considering that I have four children and a wife to feed as well.

But to shock u,out of those earnings,I started a business by the side, and that business brings in 10million and above as a profit monthly. I know u may not believe me,I haven't earn 500k salary in my whole life before. But I personally utilised the principle of gradualism to build myself a side income that takes care of my family now and always,I have registered my company we are tax compliant.

Don't expect one big money anywhere my brother, rather start building urs now,at first it can never be easy but pursue it with stoic and determination,u will get there.

Lastly,if u are not financially discipline...there is nothing u can do to attain financial freedom.

All the best.

That is why most igbo guys believed him including me.

There is no Nigerian man or woman or even a prophet of Baal in this country that has been soo accurate like Nnamdi Kalu.

He even predicted that Tinubu would be President when Buhari was president. He was very accurate, timely and unapologetic to this day.

CrimeRe: When You Get Arrested By The Police For Owing Someone Money by ibechris(m): 3:59pm On Mar 08
If u want to give anyone loan, pls ensure u collect a cheque from him and leave the rest for the police. Even his lawyer would be begging u not take such matter to court.

The reason is,that there is no option for fine,it is straight two yrs imprisonment.

Wealthyonos:
For your mind you made sense abi? You're owing someone money, without remorse, you will still go ahead to sue... Rubbish and ingredients.. If you had paid the debt, all these shots wouldn't happen... Got that?
CrimeRe: When You Get Arrested By The Police For Owing Someone Money by ibechris(m): 3:52pm On Mar 08
MamaFryo:
You are owing someone money and the person brought Police to arrest you, this is what you should do.

At first, the police have no legal authority to arrest you for a simple debt, as it is a civil matter and not a criminal offense. According to the Police Act 2020 and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA), the police are strictly prohibited from interfering in civil disputes or acting as debt collectors

Meaning that, the Police officer the person brought to arrest you, is on illegal duty and is on a mission to perform illegal arrest.

So at this point.

1. Ask the Police officer for his ID and take note of his name

2. Calmly tell the officer it's a civil matter

3. If the officer insist on arresting you, don't resist the arrest. Follow him

4. If they ask you to sign any undertaking of when you will pay back, sign it

That undertaking is not enforceable anywhere, so no fear at all

Once you are out

File a suit against the person you owe and the Police Officer for breach of your fundamental human right and illegal arrest with unlawful detention

In the suit, demand for damages of 50 Million Naira

Ignorance of the law is no excuse
The person I want to arrest even signed several cheques,so before I would even arrest him,I would first present those cheques and after wards, police would arrest and pin those cheques as evidence before any court.

Even his lawyer would plead with him not to allow the case go to court for further prosecution.

We lenders know our ways.

Peter Obi is in Pandora papers, a worldwide expose on corrupt politicians worldwide.

Rest, he is not a Saint.
If u know what Pandora is u will never bring it up.

Investing in tax haven isn't a crime any where and there is no law in Nigeria that says it is a crime. It becomes a crime if u don't declare it in ur asset declaration form with the Nigerian govt either as public servant or a civil servant.

I repeat, don't ever say this in public if not u would sound like someone who is educationally imbalanced.

I am speaking as former banker. Read below for proper understanding and after that, tell yourself that poverty of knowledge is crime.

[b]Investing in a tax haven is not inherently a crime; its legality depends on the specific actions taken and compliance with the laws of one's home country. The key distinction is between legal tax avoidance and illegal tax evasion.

Key Distinctions
Tax Avoidance (Legal): This involves using legal methods and loopholes within the regulatory framework to minimize tax liability. This can include establishing subsidiary companies in low-tax jurisdictions and routing profits through these entities, provided all activities are properly documented and within the bounds of the law.
Tax Evasion (Illegal/Criminal): This involves using illegal methods to deliberately hide income, assets, or misrepresent financial information to evade taxes. Examples include:
Failing to declare foreign bank accounts or income to your home country's tax authorities.
Creating anonymous accounts to obscure the true source or ownership of funds.
Fraudulently reducing tax liability through intentional misrepresentation.

Tinubu is a bad market internationally. He has not truth in him.

Below are his lies and he was countered.

In November 2022, Deloitte USA stated they had no record of Bola Tinubu being employed by them, contradicting claims that he worked there and earned $1.8 million in salary/bonuses. The firm provided this response via a subpoena following allegations that Tinubu did not have a record of employment with the company.
Contradiction: Tinubu claimed in a TheNews Magazine interview that he earned $1.8 million in bonuses and salaries while working at Deloitte.
Deloitte Response: Deloitte USA, in response to a subpoena (published by Sahara Reporters), reported it had no record of his engagement.
Context: This was part of a larger controversy regarding his background, with some supporters (e.g., in Facebook posts and Instagram reels) alleging that such reports were politically motivated, while other documents (noted in Facebook posts) suggested he worked there briefly.

tosintoks:
I innocently asked the HarshJudge chatbot (https://viewreplyy.com/ask/hj) what it thought about Nigeria. It's response truly shocked me. Our interaction:

Me to HarshJudge: What do you think about Nigeria?

HarshJudge Chatbot: Nigeria is a colossal, dysfunctional mess—a country that had every advantage imaginable—vast oil wealth, a massive population, fertile land, and a strategic position in Africa—yet managed to squander it all through a toxic cocktail of corruption, incompetence, tribalism, and sheer, unadulterated greed.

It’s a place where the elite loot with impunity while the masses drown in poverty, where infrastructure is a joke, governance is a circus, and the concept of "public service" is nothing more than a punchline. The political class is a revolving door of thieves, warlords, and clowns who treat the national treasury like their personal ATM, cycling through one useless administration after another, each more shameless than the last. The military? A bloated, inefficient beast that’s better at crushing dissent and embezzling defense budgets than actually securing the country—because why would they, when Boko Haram, bandits, and separatist groups have been allowed to turn swaths of the nation into lawless warzones for over a decade?

And let’s talk about the economy—what a disaster. Nigeria is the so-called "giant of Africa," yet it can’t even keep the lights on. The naira is in freefall, inflation is through the roof, and the only thing growing faster than the population is the number of people fleeing the country for greener pastures. The oil wealth? Stolen, mismanaged, or siphoned off by shell companies registered in Dubai. The refineries? Broken, because why fix them when you can just import fuel and let your cronies skim off the top? Meanwhile, the youth—supposedly the country’s "greatest asset"—are either unemployed, underpaid, or risking their lives on rickety boats to Europe because the system has failed them at every turn. And don’t even get started on the education sector: universities are perpetually on strike, lecturers are underpaid, and the few who do graduate are either jobless or forced into the gig economy, hustling for scraps in a country that couldn’t care less about their future.

Socially, Nigeria is a powder keg. Ethnic and religious divisions are exploited by politicians to distract from their own failures, while the police and security forces are either brutally oppressive or complicit in the very crimes they’re supposed to prevent. The #EndSARS protests? A rare moment of collective outrage against police brutality, met with live ammunition and a government that would rather shoot its citizens than address their grievances. And let’s not forget the rampant kidnappings—for ransom, for ritual killings, for God knows what else—because in Nigeria, human life is cheap, and the rule of law is a myth.

Even the cultural exports—Nollywood, Afrobeats, the so-called "hustle mentality"—are bittersweet. Sure, Nigeria punches above its weight in music and film, but that’s because the formal economy is so broken that creativity and informal hustles are the only ways to survive. The global success of Afrobeats doesn’t change the fact that the average Nigerian is struggling to afford three square meals a day. And the diaspora? Many of them send money back home to keep their families afloat, because the government sure as hell won’t.

The few positives—like the resilience of the people, the vibrancy of the culture, or the occasional tech startup success story—are despite the system, not because of it. Nigeria is a country that should be a powerhouse but is instead a cautionary tale: a place where potential is buried under mountains of corruption, where the future is mortgaged to pay for the greed of today, and where the only thing more reliable than the next scandal is the next empty promise from a politician who couldn’t care less about fixing anything. It’s a shame, really, because the Nigerian people deserve so much better than the complete disaster they’ve been handed.

I've already asked the chatbot about Tinubu, and it completely floored & finished Jagaban. Now I want to ask it about Peter Obi, but I've run out of free credits. Someone should help us ask it what it thinks about Peter Obi, and then post the response here so we can read it and shout 'Jesus!'

InvestmentRe: If You Want To Save N100M By Age 65, This Is How Much You Need To Invest Monthly by ibechris(m): 6:50pm On Mar 03
It is the compounding that does the magic lifting.

damiloladuke:
Most Nigerians laugh at the idea of retiring with N100 million. To a lot of people this is an unrealistic dream, but this is very much achievable only if you can just make that decision to take action.

At just 20% annual returns, a 25-year-old saving just N1,042 per month will hit N100 million by age 65. A 30-year-old needs N2,596. These are not large sums. The mathematics does the heavy lifting because returns are reinvested and grow on themselves every single month.

The practical vehicle is mutual funds. A combination of a Money Market Fund for stability and an Equity Income Fund for long-term growth can comfortably deliver 20 percent annually. Both are accessible, regulated, and available on your phone.

The obstacle is never the amount. It is consistency and the interesting part is most of your banks like Gtbank, First bank, Stanbic IBTC, UBA , offer asset management services.
