It is extremely difficult for government to provide accomdation whether they plan to or not. Lagos is already crowded as it is and the issue of buying land is another issue. While rent has skyrocked, wages has not been upto par. Thank God , Lagos has not faced a Tsunsami or a major flooding. Water no get enemy as Fela used to sing until the day water reclaim the land.
Solutions are
1. Relocate from Lagos State even though it will be difficulty for many. Many are not Nigerians
2. FG can Rebuild Makoko with standardized building which will require a lot of revenues, planning, zoning and so on

3. The victims can rebuild Makoko and face another round of demolition from Lagos State.
