Webmasters / Experienced Back-end Developer Looking For A Team Member/company To Work With by IbrahimOQ: 5:17pm On Nov 06, 2018
Hello Nairalanders, I'm a web developer. I have good development skills. I program in Java, Go, Python, PHP and SQL. I'm also an avid learner. But, I have a problem, I don't like front-end. Not that I despise it, it's just that I have a big vision, and this vision isn't front-end centric. As a result, I find it difficult picking up a skill which isn't core to my end game. However, I believe if I get into front-end, I will be a killer front-end developer, because I have this intuitive user experience skills that just comes naturally. But I'm not just interested.

The point here is, I'm looking for a front-end developer. I'm a great partner to have. I'm honest, a man of integrity, intelligent, good at what I do, and also passionate about it. So, I'm looking for a front-end partner like me, someone who is also honest and passionate about their work. You don't have to be so good at right now, but I need someone who is willing to learn and humble to let me help them grow up to an international standard. Together, we would get web projects, work on them, and share the profit together. So if interested in letting us form a team, I will be so glad to receive you on kensharval@gmail.com or 0814-579-8559 (Call or WhatsApp).

I'm also open to companies and businesses willing to take me as a back-end web developer. Moving to a new location is not a problem for me, as long as accommodation will be provided. In fact, I might be willing to work for free.

Lastly, if you are not a front-end developer and have no business or company that fits into the picture, but have any recommendation, I will be so glad to hear it. Thanks.

Nice work Jenifa. Even more interesting to see that this is coming from a woman.

Let's assume I got you right, what you want is honest reviews and I have some. While, I don't want to condemn your effort, I think there are improvements you can make.

Let's start from the user interface and user experience. The user interface is absolutely excellent, but the user experience doesn't score well. I created an account, and after signing in, I realized I don't even know what I'm expected to do. Putting into simpler terms, there so much on your interface, that a user doesn't know where to start.

Two, I assume what your website is, is a platform, but you're not positioning it as such. You see, as a platform, you have position your platform such that a user uses it the way you want it to be used. Unfortunately, you're not doing that.

Three, you seem to be doing too much. On the website, I can see a platform, a blog, a forum and even an e-commerce website. I think you need to focus. Choose just one thing you want this to be, and do it excellently.

Four, according to the description, the platform is opened to all Africans. If so, why use ".com.ng". You could have gone simply with ".com".

Finally, your contact page isn't working.

That's one aspect, now let's come to the technical aspect.

One, what's your plan against DDoS attack?

Two, I'm quite sure you are running this on a single hosting. If for one reason or the other, the hosting goes down, have you just lost your platform and your data?

Let me stop here for now, so that you don't feel overwhelmed. I think you are quite passionate about the platform and want to see it succeed, considering the fact that you've been working on it since 2016; that's why I'm pointing all these out. Goodwork Jenifa and keep grinding.

Feel free to message me, I'll be glad to help. 08145798559, kensharval@gmail.com
