Petty by pointing out that a VIGILANTE group has been conscripted into your military effort? This is more than embarrassing.

http://www.theparadigmng.com/2014/05/15/civilian-jtf-fg-give-us-arms-fight-boko-haram/

The vigilante group gave reasons why they should be allowed to carry arms like soldiers: “The Borno State government has done its best in supporting us through training and payment of our allowances which runs into millions of naira.

LOL is the right response. Actually, Hahaha is.

Don't tell us about terrorism being about ideologies. You had your opportunity to deal with it when BH were just a comical group of weirdos. But you were useless at dealing with them and under your watch, they grew into the deadliest terror group on the planet.
What is this fool laughing at?

Vigilante group exist everywhere in Nigeria and they play their role well. They exist even in areas that are not affected by Boko Haram activities with arms.

I don't think I will reply this fool again cos he is really stupid.

And that has to do with the military, how? Glad to see you've finally accepted that you should abandon your arguments against civilians helping your military. Your only option now is to to talk about South Africa's police work. Shame on you. Shame on Nigeria.
You are a BIG FOOL.

If you know what CJTF is you will know they are valuable access. They are even closer to the people than the police. This group have always been armed before Boko Haram started you fool. They know every single villager in their area cos they operate in small remote area and they can easily identify a new Comer. CJTF can even give details of everyone's activities at any given time.

It's not as if anything contained in the post could possibly be denied. Facts only. In which case, your only option is to scream "foolish post".
Go learn what terrorism is and tell me any country that have ended terrorism recently. Or just tell me any country that have curtailed terrorists like Nigeria recently.

Butthurt Nigerian grin

The anti-poaching effort is looked after by the ministry of environmental affairs. Meanwhile, you have a state of emergency and a full-blown military effort against BH and you have soldiers running away from the enemy. Shame on you. So bad you are that you've had to admit that you were being stupid when you told the world you'd crush BH by December. It's not as if we believed your clueless generals anyway.

The little episodes of victory that you saw had South Africa mercenaries written all over them in any event.
Foolish post

lol.I laugh in dothraki....let me educate you:
normal Nigerian civilians do not possess firearms, this is to say that those so-called "civilian fighters" are actually militarily sanctioned CJTF fighters, who were trained and armed by the nigerian army to serve as local strike teams instrumental in holding towns already liberated by the army, protecting isolated locations within the theatre of combat, and serving as a coordinated liason force between the military and the local populace.
The CJTF in an incorporation of the military itself, and is therefore a civilian detachment of our infantry force.
There is nothing humiliating about the CJTF confronting rogue terrorists,it happens everywhere in the world.
You don't need to reply his post.

They will never learn and that is why everything is failing in South Africa.

CJTF are always on ground in their locality and they helped seriously in Adamawa.

If you are given billions of dollars to buy weapons and you bought few useless helicopters to add to inventory doesn't mean you have uplifted the army. You have actually killed the army.

Nigeria's GDP as in current fell below $510 due to devaluation of currency. Many people do not consider that devaluation of currency shrinks GDP size.
Is its a dull zulu that will teach IMF that?

Our economy is still growing even with devaluation of Naija.

Poverty rate in South Africa is about 40% fact.

I commented on this before. They even used 2009 data fore Nigeria which keeps us at 53% we are in 2015 with a gdp of almost $600 billion not 2009 of less than $170 billion.

No its currently $574 bn. Against $160 that was used in 2010.

Yours was $386 bn then and is currently close to $300 bn.

Verify you poverty rate here please.

You just killed yourself.

Nigeria 2010 estimate 70%

South Africa 2012 estimate 35%.

Nigeria gdp is currently about 3 times the data that was used then. Our current poverty rate is 33% while South Africa's poverty rate is about 40% as of Las year dummy.

Voodoo economics from a Nigerian village idiot. Seeing as you brought it up:

Nigeria's poverty ratio at last count - a whoping 53.5% (simply put, more than half of your people are kak poor. That's more poor people than South Africa's entire population).

South Africa at last count - 16.6%

The rest of your post is no-response-required drivel that has already been cancelled out by preceding posts.
You are a fool and you just exposed yourself.

From what you posted your poverty is increasing
Even when your GDP was stronger than what you have today From 2008 - 2011 while Nigeria poverty rate was was same from 2003- 2009 calculated with old gdp(ppp) dummy.

Your link used old figures of 2003 - 2009 to calculate Nigeria's poverty rate while 2008 - 2011 was used for South Africa.

Our gdp is currently three time the figures used so look
for something current.
Nigeria's poverty rate is even lesser that 33% currently fool.

Is good that you gave up. Perhaps someone much more educated than you advised you about the true facts.
mzilakazi:
Your question is irrelevant.

SA source their revenues on Diamonds, Gold, platinum, etc. Oil is cheap.
You will never learn and I pity you and your country.

I asked a simple question and you keep twisting things.

Does Angola and Algeria generate more revenue from oil than Nigeria?

Why is their budget and revenue higher than that of Nigeria?

Answer the question?

Whatever you wrote here does not make sense at all.

-Nigeria's economy is also underperforming.
-There are more job losses in Nigeria because of falling oil prices which is also said to trade at $25 a barrell in 2016. Nigeria has effectively joined SA on its economic woes. Fact!!
-SA remains no:2 economy in Africa. Egypt is No:4

I wonder who is feeding you this wrong information.

Thank you.
I can't believe a South African can be this dull.

Just go answer my question

Do you think by showing high number of local governments that will intimidate us. Nope, the rule or principle is. IN AFRICA, THE BIGGER THE NUMBER, THE SMALLER THE ALLOCATION. Congo has 1000 of LGs but many of them are unproductive, the same thing like in Nigeria. Out of 700 LGs only few are productive.
I like your comparison BTW Congo and Nigeria.

Let's change topic

jln115:
Uhm you do: "Nigeria’s 10 highest revenue receiving states based on the federal allocations in 2013." Its exactly how we work as well, each municipality receives an allocation and with that allocation generates revenue, all of this is added together to calculate the entire countries revenue and expenditure......How can Lagos for example generate its own revenue when the Federal government allocated its budget?? that revenue obviously belongs to the Government.

And how according to you is your Government going to generate revenue, when its allocating its entire budget to 776 local governments?? You see mate, your reasoning doesn't make sense?
Federal don't declared what is owned by state here. They are different. Money from oil is share by all levels of government before federal government will declares it's own share.

Am not talking about this again is left for those that want to know to know.

Am changing topic.

Citation! So your telling me your people get taxed double? Firstly by the local government and then by the national Government??
They have their boundaries?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Ibro105: 12:44am On Nov 30, 2015
Federal allocations alone for ten state is over N1.5 trillion without state revenue. If I add the state revenue to it how much will this amount to. Just 10 States I repeat. I believe this is enough prove that we don't have state government budget/revenue with federal budget/revenue.

This is 2013 data when a dollar was N150.

Now you see we don't add state budget to federal budget like South Africa.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Ibro105: 12:39am On Nov 30, 2015
Nigeria’s 10 highest revenue receiving states based on the federal allocations in 2013.

The states, according to her, earn more than the annual budgets of some neighboring countries.

The allocations are as follows:

Akwa Ibom N260 billion,
Rivers N230 billion,
Delta State N209 billion,
Bayelsa N173 billion,
Lagos N168 billion,
Kano N140 billion,
Katsina N103 billion,
Oyo N100 billion,
Kaduna N97 billion
Borno N94 billion.

Okonjo-Iweala gave the breakdown of the allocations on Sunday at Babcock University’s 12th Convocation at which she delivered a lecture with the theme: ‘Transforming Nigeria economy: Opportunities and Challenges’

“These were the allocations that all these states got last year, so the question is what did they do with it? Analysis shows that many Nigerian states receive revenue allocation which are larger than budgetary allocation of neighbouring countries such as Liberia which is $ 433 million, Gambia $210 million.

”So you see that our top 10 states receive more money than these countries and therefore you should be asking what is this money being used for?”
Okonjo-Iweala said.

She noted that some states use their allocation better than others adding that “that is why we can actually see what they are doing with their infrastructure, education, while others do not”.

”We should also ask ourselves what is the role of our state government and local government in supporting our transformation? We know from the constitution that provision of public services such as health, education, agricultural services and so on are all on a concurrent list and therefore are joint responsibilities of the federal state and local governments.

“However it is not often that you hear people asking what has your state done? Most of their attention is turned to the federal government so we also need to ask what do our state and local government do with the resources they get?” Okonjo-Iweala stated!!!
