The are many ways you can find your device.....

First if you want to find it your self
- If the phone have your gmail account, then you are safe
- use google Find my device
- it will force the phone to ring for 5 minutes, while the phone is ringing, it will diplay a map at the site on the location of your phone.

Or Submit your phobne IME and Name to police station, i think it cost 10K and they will track it for you. One good thing is if the phone is found, the theif will refund you 10k

or send mail to cop@vsnl.net and they will send you name and location of the new phone user, but am sure of this
details are : Name, Address, Phone Model, Make, Last used number, email for communciation, missin date and IME number.
when your gate the detail, they you can go to police
