I believe you said you are an engineer, and any experienced engineer (myself inclusive) should understand how to balance engineering practice( be it design, manufacturing, construction, repair, restoration etc) with cost and most importantly, value for money.

What you are doing is an attempt to increase its value, but at what cost to you? I assure you that by the time you are done with this conversion, you may end up spending more than twice the amount you budgeted for this exercise and in frustration sell the car to the mechanic that advised you to do this as scrap.

If your intention is to sell the car for business, sell it at it is. If your are doing it to simply prove a point then it is simply a puerile action to no meaningful gain or wisdom.

Do you refer to an active force as He? Do you refer to electricity, lightning, thunder, rain as He?

1. The Yaris is a lighter vehicle compared to the Corolla, and the automatic Gearbox may not be able to cope hauling a load beyond the design intent.
Short term effects will be quite a sluggish acceleration and higher fuel consumption.

Long term effect will be the transmission not lasting long

2. The rewiring work will be a nightmare, as this car came without an automatic tranmission option for this particular engine. so there will be some 'cut and nail' involved(bad move)

Are you guys denying this again, what is yaris parts, does my Gear box look like yaris parts, assuming, this is Corolla, shift lever, will it ever work with your assumed yaris gear box?

it was an oversight, but same principle applies, Manual compressor is much more durable than Automatic Compressor for Toyota Corolla, there is nothing to argue about that. Yes Auto sound smoother, but the gas gets weaker over time because of the embedded technology, take an example of your Refrigerator at home, your AC at home, its compressors are mostly Manual, try to compare it with the recent Automatic, yes it cools but gradually fades away. Manual is better but since we all want to belong, oyinbo had to work out a new technology at a cost for us which in the long run did not defeat the aim.

For your own information, Oyinbo never left Manual, it is Lagosians that left Manual, automatic is just an alternative for the lazy ones, that does not mean it is a substandard, get exposure, Expatriates in my office prefers Manual cars, we had to compel some of them to buy Auto here, Go to france, a lot of Oil and gas guys there prefers manual, you see, Nigerians in their poor state still want to form as if someone will give you award for buying Auto. In france, you see Managers prefers that the train drops them like two bust stop to their actual destination, so that they can exercise their legs back home, but in Nija, they will expect you to drop them on their street, no wonder the ideal of Automatic enters our head as if Auto cars is the best, never you think that way. Why do you have HILUX as Manual, can you ever compare its Auto to that of Manual? never.
