Xavi has seen his potential as a possible DM and has tried him there, which further proves that he's seeing more than the poor technicalities than you. Only time will tell if he excels there. But for your claims that Eric is only being used as a DF because he's Spanish, I leave you to judge yourself about that.

The only time Garcia starts in defense is if Araujo has to play RB... Or either Pique or Araujo is injured or not around.


That said, I don't know who you'd prefer to start to eliminate Xavi's bias in the heart of our defense and if you are suggesting Lengelet, then I'll have to agree with Andrew that you most likely don't watch our matches.


You complain of Eric being slow and shiit.. Then, I tell you that it's just you not being satisfied that City let him go for free because you think he's not good enough but I can confidently tell you that the young lad has improved really well, still has some lapses which involve not managing his aggression well, but with Pique by his side, he's been pretty solid, improving on his slow strides and making brilliant tackles and clearance for the team.


Just as I said in some of my older posts, I think Garcia is a CDM being forced as a defender. His technicality over time in this Barca setup shows that, time and again, he's got what to be on the same level as Man City's Rodri (maybe better if tutored well by Busi, himself) in terms of technicality and positional play, and not forgetting how difficult it is to press them.

Neither of those two you mention can fit into Busquest's role. The last time we tried, we all know how it went until Busquets came in.

Alba is untouchable at the moment. Eric is only playing because Pique and Araujo are out and for the love of the game, the young is a better defender than the two French players at the heart of defense.

The only person I want to see on the bench next is Ferran. I am a big fan of the lad, no doubt, but honestly, he's been shitty for a while, esp since Pique hasn't been around. He needs to watch the game from the sidelines more to see how he could be better if playing and I think he'll do well to be rotated with Fati, Memphis, and Dembele for the rest of the season, on the left-wing.

Earlier today, it dawned on me that he used to be an RW in City and with Enrique's squad ( shuffled with Dani Olmo).. Maybe we can try him there too.
