How can quorum be 10 when 25 seats have bee declared vacant?

Notice that declaring those seats vacant was the first order of business so a new quorum (3) has been formed minus those seats.

Before you argue know that the speaker has the powers to declare defected members' seats vacant.

Not a popular opinion but Fubara is fighting a loosing battle , he has fallen into the trap wike and BAT set for him and pdp , they have a false hope that the template that worked in edo will work in Rivers, unfortunately BAT is not buhari , he is a marchavelian when it comes to politics and when the time is ripe they will pull the rug 0ff the feet of Fubara and pdp.

The only card available to Wike is the supreme court judgement for rivers election.

Pulling that lever favors Tinubu who will have Rivers as a full APC state cos Tonye Cole of APC can then be sworn in.

But it doesn't necessarily favor Wike, infact it ll be from frying pan to fire for Wike because Tonye Cole is a prodigy of Amaechi and will bring his boss back into reckoning.

I agree with you this battle is far from over for Fubara but Wike fights with too much emotions and you make avoidable mistakes fighting that way. If wike wins this fight it ll be because of calculative punchers like Tinubu and Femi gbaja.

The goal here is to impeach Fubara, the goal then was to install Wike as Governor which Amaechi was resisting, so Amaechi shutting down the courts did not stop the installation of Wike as governor despite "power of governor" which is small by the way compared to the power of the presidency.

Right now the assembly complex is sealed tight with federal might and only allow access to Wike's faction with instructions to impeach Fubara.

I still insist he was ill-advised, he should have tolerated Wike for 4yrs to get 8yrs after all they were best of friends.

It's a tough fight for Fubara but not insurmountable and I'm rooting for him cos Rivers is not Lagos.

Well, I need not argue with you. Like I said impeachment is a rigourous process. Is not something that is done within a day.

Previous impeachments done in the 4th Republic most especially during OBJ era contravened the relevant section of the constitution that has to do with removal of governor.

The unconstitutional impeachments of DSP Alamieyeseigha, Joshua Dariye and Rashidi Ladoja was done in contravention of the laid down principles of the constitution. And that was why Rashidi and Joshua Dariye impeachment was reversed by the court. Alamieyeseigha's was arrested so could not explore judicial redress.
