1. Their citizen has potentially committed a crime in SA by flouting immigration rules - he's allegedly now living and working in SA on an expired tourist visa.

2. Operation Dudula did not assault the Ghanaian, they simply lectured him on their anti-immigration stance.

3. The South African government has committed to investigate the matter, which would compel it to either arrest or deport the Ghanaian national should he infact be an illegal alien.

4. South Africa can request Ghana for reasons why her citizens resort to illegal migration (i.e. find the country uninhabitable).

Then it would have made more sense to everyone if they had come in with the hazard complaints rather than saying he's enslaving them even when fellow colleagues confirmed that he pays them well. Nobody is denying Dangote s huge impact in industrialising the country. Not even the engineers that were sacked. Everyone appreciates him because he is the largest employer of labour. But since you're not in the shoes of those staffs, you don't have the right the condemn them. Every work place has a standard. The refinery is a place with high risks and alot of hazard which affects workers health daily. Imagine working day and night trying to ensure Nigeria has sufficient fuel yet you're dying slowly. From direct source working there, I can confirm, they're not even given PPEs, hazard allowances or good HMO, those are basics for a company that has high risk. Maybe some of you have never worked in a place like that before, I advise you to seek knowledge rather than judge out of ignorance.

Again Dangote has done well truly, but he should consider the health and wellbeing of his staffs that worked hard day/night to ensure the refinery keeps working. Also Dangote said they workers were not sacked because of unionism rather because of sabotage. All Nigerian Engineers became saboteurs over night Let's have constructive thinking and assume alot of possibilities instead of condemning what we don't know.

When I read that they have sacked all Nigerians and only Indians are running the refinery then I knew that they were lying. How many Indians that are in the refinery that only them can run it? Is Dangote not a profit oriented company? How can they prefer to spend more paying Indians if everything is right? Either they are more competent and loyal than the Nigerians sacked.
